If the writers and producers know what's best for them, they need to deliver the best episode of the season to put an end to the whiners that weren't satisfied with the other new ones.

I love this show. It never lets me down.

it was alright but i didn't really go for the short stories for their xmas special i loved there other short stories episodes anthologies of interest were great but i felt the xmas special shouldve been a full story

boring like said bender in first season about a tvshow . there are no jokes ....and all we see is the "actors" . the screen is always showing their faces . first seasons were largely better from both points : it was great places and something like two one man [4 a] show with fry and bender .
while now it s a turning thingy where everybody has his word to say .... BORING Loosers 8]
free fry & bender ;']

Ok, that was probably the worst episode of the season. I actually got bored.

I was especially annoyed that they recycled old themes as though we had never watched previous xmas-themed episodes before.

it was ok but i have to say the other x-mass eps were way better. but i would like to know what the ratings were for the ep anybody know?
JamesNov 24th 2010, 03:23
They could've done something really good with this ep, but 3 short stories with no real endings.... Al Gore at the end is wasting his breath saying they'll be back next year, cos at this rate no one's gonna want them

I have to admit that was not their best episodes by far but c'mon people. We should all be happy and VERY greatful that there even was a futurama episode to watch. Even though it wasn't the greatest episode it was still better than 99% of the other junk that is on tv! You never know who is reading these comments. Wouldn't you hate to know that because of all the negative criticism written here some network executive read this and didn't order more episodes? I mean you are on a futurama website so you must love the show as much as I do? Good show, can't wait for more!!! 8~)

Sorry, but it was the worst episode ever. I never got bored with a single episode before, in fact I love them all. But this one... I didn't even finish watching it.

I think people have been too harsh on this episode, it was done in the style of Anthology of Interest mashed up with a Christmas pageant.

There were plenty of jokes to be laughed at so there's no real reason why anyone should be complaining.

This is my first comment on this site, EVER! Woohoo!! I love Futurama and was so angry and upset when it ended. I continued to watch the reruns, bought the DVD'sy still quote lines from it, as I'm sure all true fans did/do, so when the movies came out, I had my fingers crossed that that it would come back. Sure some of the new episodes where a little thin at times, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed and laughed at each and every one of them. I live in Ireland and I haven't seen the X-mas special yet, but damn it I want Futurama to continue for a long time, so people please, climb down from your judgemental Omicronian horses, toss aside your evil MOM Corp. attacks, don't put your finger in there, and show some love!

I don't why people said they got bored on this episode, there's a constant string of jokes that actually gets better the further into the episode. I loved the fact that it was just xmas centered this time, but instead focused on xmas, robo-nnukah, and kwanza. I loved the new season of futurama and can't wait for the next.

I was ready to have a little rant about all the moaning and complaining but then I watched the ep
It was definitely a weak episode, some good stuff here and there but fairly dull overall

It seems to suffer from feeling too rushed, is the show actually shorter now that it's not on a large network station? I recall them saying that an extra couple of minutes of the original episodes had to be cut for syndication

My biggest concern is that with all the negativity and a few weak eps Futurama could be finished for good this time
I have no doubt that the eps will improve, it can't be easy to churn out the quality that they used to at a moment's notice, I just hope they get the chance

If people are reading futurama fan sites to help establish wheather or not to keep the show i also hope the writers producers animators and actors are all reading the fan sites as well to see what the fans liked and didnt like. I love the show and want more episodes but that isnt a reason to critize the show when i feel they couldve done better

I have to agree this was not a very good episode. They song lyrics seemed very forced and the story was just a rework of the other Xmas episodes.
FlexoNov 30th 2010, 21:57
I love Futurama, but this episode was truly terrible. There really was no point for Al Gore to be in there...or Dick Cheney. I really hate when they start throwing their political jabs in. I know the writers and producers are liberals, but I don't want to see that come through in the episodes and it usually doesn't. They really should have kept the Anthology of Interest and XMas episodes separate. I have no doubt that the series will continue, as it should, but I sincerely hope that they get Futurama back on the right track. This season had some good episodes but as a whole it was their worst season.

Xmas stories where everyone dies at the end? Awesome!
