Sagal: "another Season" Vulture: "maybe"

According to a news post on Vulture, Katey 'Leela' Sagal said that
"Futurama just got ordered again for another season."
The article however goes on to note that it might be too soon to proclaim the return of Futurama.
"... insiders from both camps insist that no formal negotiations have taken place and that no deal is done for a new round of episodes."

With past renewals, the voice actors were seemingly contacted just before negotiations commenced or at the very beginning of negotiations to make sure that they'd be available for the show. This has caused confusion regarding the status of the show before.

If there haven't been any official negotiations yet, they'd probably have to start rather soon if Comedy Central wants the episodes to be ready for summer 2012.

If Futurama and The Simpsons were hanging off a cliff and only one could be saved, I would kick Simpsons and save Futurama! Here's hoping!!!

Summer 2012? Oh good, another year-long hiatus! It's like they're actively trying to kill their fan base... Has Comedy Central learned nothing from Fox's scheduling mishaps?

Geoff, uh you realize that they have episodes for this year, 2011 and if it is renewed it be for episodes in 2012. Maybe you should realize this before you post

I hope to GOD that they successfully negotiate with the actors because if the next season is stopped by moronic negotiations I swear I'll go ballistic! They just got new seasons of Futurama going again and I'll be damned if they'll take one of my favorite seasonal shows away from me again!

Thanks from a long time fan of both Simpson and Futurama!

There will be some real idiots laying around if Futurama is Cancelled again. It took me 7 years to get over the fact that Leela and Fry would never be together. Just so happens that they end up together and there wont be anymore shows. Its sad how the real winners get drops and the others that teeach offensive and provocative lessons to our children Live forever! Kill the world.. Save Futurama

i love futurama, the past week i have been having really really bad anxiety attacks and thanks to futurama it helps me calm down so i turn the lights off in my room and thank god for netflix i can watch all the futurama i want please keep making more
