Yeah, I whole heartily agree with Billy. More and more pushes for big names into voiceover's are messing with what could have been great pictures and stood on their own. Occasionally they do get decent actors that seem to fit in their particular role, but it doesn't always happen and is quite a gamble.

I was a little upset when I picked up a second copy of Robbie the Reindeer several years ago, which had both the first and second ones. I saw they pushed names like Britney Spears, Ben Stiller, Hugh Grant... I was very reluctant to pick it up, despite how I love stop motion animation. At least I saw that it had an "Alternate UK track", which more meant it was the "Original voice track".

I must say, I've NEVER listened to that abomination of a voice over track they produced with the big stars. The only thing that upsets me about my second DVD copy is that it ALWAYS starts itself up with the "Big Star voice over track" as the default track. By now I instinctively go right to the audio section and select the UK track before I watch it.

I'm guessing they did that for two reasons. One, maybe pressure to get big star names on the product to try and push some sales. I know it could use some more promotion, considering I've never even seen an ad for it, and only stumbled across the original first DVD by a bit of dumb luck in a store. By the way the first one ONLY had the original UK track on it, the other voice over track was dubbed in when they came up with the second episode. But anyway, doing another voice over with big stars in it, just makes it look a little cheap to me.

The other reason they did those other voice over tracks possibly had to do with "Americanizing" the 2 episodes. Trying to see if they can get more fans by "dumbing down" the episodes for a bit better understanding by some of the less intelligent US crowd. The whole charm and comedy of the couple of episodes had to do with being a bit british to begin with, so it wasn't needed at all (and frankly quite a waste of money, and probably helped deter them from even thinking about another episode).

I saw rango and I have to say it drove me nuts figuring which A or B lister were lending voices to the squirrles mice, ect. It doesn't matter that I celebrity is lending their voices we're hearing voices not actually seeing the person.

These have got to be from Neutopia, as I can't see any other episode where they'd fit.
