Nominations are open for the next stars on Canadas Walk of Fame and one legend would be great to see there.

The Late, Great Phil Hartman

Hartman for those who don't know was born in Ontario and was a fantastic comedian who made his name in great roles on NewsRadio, SNL and of course as Lionel Huts & Troy McClure on The Simpsons. He was due to play the role of our favourite starship captain, Zapp Brannigan before he tragically passed away.

Anyone can vote just go here to do so and get Phil in his rightful place amongst the rest of Canada's greats!

He didn't pass away...he was killed by his wife. That was a really sad day...

Great actor, super funny on SNL too. Boy, I'm getting old (

Yes, I know. That's why I said 'tragically'.
I think it's more respectful to focus not on the how and why but just on the fact that he is gone and dearly missed.

I always thought Zapp sounded like a cockier Troy McClure. This would explain why. Nice of Billy to channel a little Phil into this voice!
