i think based on what david x cohen has said... there will be more futurama at some point... but not on CC... ratings last night were good... 2 years ago though the show preemed with a 1.1 in the demo and a million more viewers... it was the top rated shows on CC... if it wasnt for tosh 2.0 they would be the top show overall... and remember CC has not promoted this at all outside of the CC universe... they dont stream it... their website is a joke with year old information... i just wish you could see the new eps on hulu or something... no cable then no luck... it's ridiculous

Last night's episodes were great! I don't have cable either, but you can by them in HD and SD at iTunes!

Someone should start a campaign to get Netflix to pick up the show!

From what I have heard the entire cast and crew want to keep making the show for many years to come and Matt Groening is pissed about the cancleing of the show He called Futurama his baby and said he is piching the idea of a new season to any Network or online vender that will listen. The info about the cast and crew and Matt Groening came from Articles posted on the Peel message Bourd. As for futurama getting great ratings 2 years ago, it still does not take any thing away from the great ratings from last wednesday, I would say that 2 years ago or last wednesday they are both good. But we all know ratings are bogus and out dated and I think I explained in my first post what smart TV executives are probably looking at if they were smart.

So, Futurama could come back if it's ratings are good?

I would asume so, also Good DVD and BLU-RAY SALES and there is a petition going around that has 23 thousund signitures and it is growing every day.

Holy smokes that "2-D Blacktop" episode was awful! Doesn't seem like the writers care about the show. It was nice to have the show back but if it returned only to spew out crap like this I don't mind it being cancelled again.

2-D Blacktop wasn't that great, but I got some giggles out of it. On the other hand, Leela's Big Fling is an instant classic. My wife and I absolutely lost it on Bender's final line. It was the kind of zinger like at the end of Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes that kept you coming back for more. This show definitely needs to come back.

I thought these two opening episodes were good for that matter I have realy liked all the futurama episodes since they have been back "TO EACH HIS OWN" I guess. The problem with the ratings is negative hater fans like Shane, and losers like him. And I am not calling Shane A loser I mean the mindset to hate everything becuase it is the popular thing to do.

If I wasn't such a die hard fan of the show and so autistic when it comes to watching new episodes of shows that I follow, anyway, I know that the last run of episodes would have been enough to stop me caring about catching the show as it went out. I'd still watch them eventually, but there wouldn't be a rush to do so.

My housemates that I watched the last run of episodes with only stuck with that run of episodes, itself, because I was watching them in the house whilst they were around. They were both Futurama fans and felt that the new episodes were so bad that they wouldn't bother watching them if it weren't for me.

In fact, I ended up watching some of the later episodes of the season on my own so I guess they never did finish it.

Last season has this funny long running joke in every episode so far about tv shows phoning it in while they phone it in themselves because it's the last season so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the juke about Calculon dying and being brought back to life to act. They where making a joke about the voice of Zapp Brannigan Phil Hartman dying and being replaced by another actor Billy West. I love this last season their doing jokes that only diehard fans will get.

It is time to do what the Chief did to Jack Nicolson's character in One flew over the Cookoo's nest after he was lobotomized. The last season stinks.

I think 27 million likes on facebook says otherwise, I think it is time to revive "JACK NICOLSON" and fly this ship home to "THE FOX NETWORK OR THE FX NETWORK". On the way we can drop the Chief off at Mars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
