I just wanted to say thank you to the people who make futurama, i have bad tinnitus in my right ear and upon discovering that listening to Futurama on my Ipod drowns out the ringing noise, i now wear my ipod to bed and 99.9999999999% of the time am able to get to sleep listening to episodes of Futurama.
Bet you never though that your show could be used as a medical device hey.

Is there a chance the show could come back? Even if the show doesn't come back, at least there's the comics....

These fans are what is wrong with our fan base, There is nothing wrong with the new seasons of episodes. Any problems with the current show is a personal problem Mesa thinks, Damn it people suport our show and give it the ratings it deserves, FUTURAMA deserves 25 seasons and more and I still love the Simpsons so there!!!!!!!!!!!!! And all you haters are in the minority "THAT IS A FACT",

I'm kind of hoping Futurama doesn't get renewed. As much as I adore the show, the quality is beginning to slip and I'd rather it quits while it's ahead.

Another interesting thing to point out though is that so far in 7B, the general reception for each episode (by which I mean CGEF ratings, which is unfortunately the most reliable source at the moment) has gotten progressively better if you go by production order.

In other words, 40LB < 2DBT < TTT < FALBF < TIT. Now, I don't expect this trend to be maintained the entire way through (nor do I agree with the exact order), but it's interesting nonetheless.

Please tell me that this might be close to as great as Reincarnation. That is one of my favorites!! I mean the PurpleBerry Pond Animatic was pretty good. It's kinda like how the 8-bit segment of "Reincarnation" was to me.

But I do kinda agree Futurama shouldn't really be renewed, I am content with 7 Seasons, and 140 episodes. I do really think that one more season honestly couldn't hurt. And who knows, that might be their chance to redeem theirselves to old fans and get back on the tracks. Unlikely, it's still possible. I mean look at all the stuff you can do with a Sci-Fi show that takes place in the future, compared to what you can do with a family sitcom. You can do alot more. Also, I'm kinda dying to see that Zapp and Kif episode. They don't exactly look like they're running out of ideas yet.

And hey, I did realize how the user-ratings got better production-order wise too! Maybe this season will get better and better as we go through, and maybe that's why they call it their "Best Final Season Ever". We can only hope, though. We can only hope........

With American Dad going to TBS and The cleveland show having there last show ever, there is a huge hole to be filled on Fox Sunday Animation Domination, that would look great with Futurama plugged in there, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see a lot of people think Futurama is coming back to Fox or coming to TBS b/c of this American Dad! business.

I would not hold my breath... but it'd be sweet if the new Fox line-up was:

6 -Encores
630 - Murder Police/ Other New Shows
7 - The Simpsons
730 - Futurama
8 -Family Guy
830 - Bob's Burgers

Note: I hate FG but it's not going anywhere, it's ranked #7 with advertisers, and Simpsons is still #6.. somehow.

At the very least TBS could pick up Futurama and pair it with A.D! and start their own animation block.. with hookers... and black jack!

I thought people on this site were harsh toward Futurama, its nothing compared to the Nohomers club message bourd. At the nohomers they hate Futurama, I dont get how anybody can be that hate filled?....

because people are more inclined to share hate opinions online as they sit at home in their jammies... and want to shout it to the world for attention... as opposed to people who like something... and everything good and popular gets the hate treatment... those people think they are being different and against the grain but they all speak the same toon (lol) look at simpsons of course, futurama, family guy, and non toons snl, modern family, arrested development... just laugh at their lack of originality and move on

Celebrate what exactly? That the show is going away maybe for good? That Futurama is probably never coming back ever again, and possibly be forgotten to oblivion? And that little bar Comedy Central shows before commericals where it has Leela and Zoidberg wearing some kind of coats. Does that mean they're going to die when the show ends? Or that new one where it shows everything going into a black hole? Is everyone supposed to die?

Know what? Since Comedy Central cancelled this wonderful cartoon, it's their loss. Just so they can make way for more vulgar Judd Apatow-inspired shows. Which is probably what Futurama is going to be replaced with. Know what else? It's all their losses, too. "Their" meaning the people on these message boards and social media sites. All because they all had to act so fickle about these new episodes that weren't goood enough for them. Sorry if all the fans felt that way. Have fun next summer with Family Guy reruns and reality show competitions where if someone wins, they'll be famous for a few months, and then years later end up in prison or rehab in a few years.

Who knows? Maybe Comedy Central will replace Futurama with Unsupervised or another season of new Beavis and Butthead. Isn't that what's wrong with today's society? Always trying to find fault so we can have an excuse to complain? Well, guess what? All because of this complaining and crticism, fans all flushed this awesome show Futurama down the toilet. They all took the horse to be shot! Hope they're all proud of themselves! If Fry, Leela, and Bender were real, they'd all get after those whiny complainers with torches and pitchforks! They all can have a nice Futurama-free life! Some wanted the show to get cancelled once it came back, and now it is! As Truman Capote once said, "Most Tears are Shed Over Answered Prayers".

This time next year, they're all going to wish they never complained or Futurama had gotten renewed for a few years! In the meantime, why don't they all just come out and say how they all really feel about Futurama?

Would they all rather have had Malcolm In The Middle come back, instead? Never understand for the life of me why people complain when a cancelled TV Show comes back! Why was it when Beavis and Butthead came back, everyone loved it, but when Futurama came back, everyone hated it?

As for futurama, cancellation, other shows....its all about budgets, viewing figures, demographics.

We should be grateful CC picked it up at all!

Really the problem wont be solved till big-budget tv migrates to the web.
That is, shows made for the web, and paid for directly by fans.

The advertising revenue from a single person is just a few cents....whenever the internet viewers of tv become equal to or more then the broadcast ones, then we in theory should be able to get shows for those same few cents (paid directly) per episode.

I'll happily pay that, and more, for Futurama (and Farscape, and Firefly....)

Since Netflix apparently has bought the rights to Jericho, another favourite of mine, and plays with the idea of making a third season, maybe they should consider hiring the Futurama team. I know that it would definitely be a decisive factor for me when deciding whether or not I want to subscribe.
