Can't get enough Futurama

Maybe not that good after all ...
The German TV channel PRO7 decided to stop airing Futurama till at least June. Well, let's face it PRO7. The translation/dubbing by Taurus was utter crap and the fact that Season 3 just started airing more than a year after the US premier did not really help either.

And on The Island: Sky starts airing Season four every Sunday at 19:00. Thanks to Luke for pointing that out to me.

it's the same with the simpsons. the germans always se the new season one year later.

Not only are Sky premiering Rosewell that ends Well on Sunday, they will repeat it on Good Friday at the slightly later time of 8:00pm.

I don't watch the german episodes any more since i download them all in english. If you first heard the german voices and had the possibility to compare with the original ones.... you'll never want to hear the german again.

But the problem is, that not everybody has a broadband internet connection to get the episodes from the internet.

I don't have a broadband conn... but I'm lucky a good fried has one. :-) So I have the third and the aired part of the fourth seasion in English.

When I watched the S03E01 in German, The Honking, I really had to laugh. The episode in English is thousand times better than in German.... only regard the voices of Zoidberg and Bender.

That's just about the worst thing PRO7 could have done - ever! I hate them for canceling the episodes. Comparing the German Futurama with the "real" thing, I agree that Germans have to wait too long until they can watch the "brand-new" episodes that aired in the US many months earlier (which is, by the way, the same with the Simpsons). Also, the German voices suck! If you know the real thing, you gotta love it.

One thing I've to add: From my point of view, futurama in german is bad translated. So I watch it in English anyway (voice of Zoidberg is much better and benders sayings are more "original"). But oddly enough the simpsons have better voices in Germany.

Ok, i live in austria and the german translations on Pro7 were the only futurama i could get. But now that i've got cable internet, i'm going to make a collection for all four seasons.
I really think that the voices of the characters (at most Zoid and Bender) are better in the original, but the meanings and dialogs are the same.
Actually, every show starts one year after the US release, not just futurama. And Pro7 has weight better Airdates than Fox (Superbowl). Futurama has got a huge fan community not just in Germany, also here in Austria and i would be very, very sad if Pro7 would cancel the show before Fox does.
