What do you mean, 5 to 7 month? I thought the show was cancelled!

YEAH I THOUGHT IT WAS CANCELLED AND FOX had decided to release all seasons on dvd!!!!!!!!!!!!

They decided not to order any new episodes this year, but they still have 16 episodes left due to permanent pre-emption of the show and cutting the season 3 months short. So, what we are going to see in September or December or whatever will be epsiodes from the actual Season 4 (and one from season 3 even) and they will call it season 5.

12 eps in a season . . . an all time low for Fox. That really blows . . .

That's because it was a midseason replacement

Did anyone else catch the comment "All the good sci fi shows get cancelled"... I think the creators are trying to say something. :D I also saw Apu and his wife's head in the background... not that that had anything to do with the cancellation.

I thought Fox was going to wash it's hands of Futurama, from what I've read Fox told the people behind Futurama to get new jobs.
Even if there are episodes un-aired I have a bad feeling about there ever being a new season, after all this season not only started far later than the Simpsons and King of the Hill, but it also ended first!

Seems like Fox would rather air something in the area of "Ultimate Eating Contest" or "Who want's to Marry A Hooker" than, Futurama.

Fry said Star Trek felt like his friend,
and Futurama feels like my friend, but it doesn't feel like Fox gave it a fair chance.
Maybe it's creators can take it to a new network?
(well I can hope)

Be it the last episode of the season or the series it was a good episode to go out on!

I agree Star Trek was good for the world,
(I have no plans to treat it as a relgion,
but comapred to most other relgions it doesn't seem like such a bad idea)
Other than the apperance of Jonathan Frakes' head there wasn't any referances to the other Star Treks,
I think it would have been nice if they squeezed in an other next gen joke or two
(other than that it was perfect).

What ever becomes of Futurama this is a very impressive way to end a season or series.

I do hope for more seasons, and will be looking for any Futurama DVDs!

First what may be the last Futurama ever to air on TV, that's only a might.
Then later on Fox the Lone Gun Men die, sad night on Fox.

OFFICIAL WORD from FOX: "Futurama" is on HIATUS, meaning no new episodes have been ordered due to the "backlog."

UNOFFICIALLY: FOX went out of its way to create this "backlog." "On hiatus" almost certainly means doom. FOX hates the show because FOXecutives don't have a clue. BUT that's no reason to not write, or stop writing.

WHAT THIS ALL MEANS: There are, as [-mArc-] pointed out, 16 episodes supposedly completed but unaired.

WHAT TO FEAR: They may remain unaired, depending on the whim of FOXecutives.

Loved the final Futurama episode with the original Star Trek cast... they were good sports about the whole thing.

BUT the BEST, MOST HILARIOUS part of the show was watching an Eagle from the Space: 1999 tv series have the honour of taking the prized episodes of the threatening, dangerous (;)) "Trekkie fanatics" and flying them off to safety to some distant planet.

I've read recent articles in DVD Reviewing Magazines and TV Guides and they say that it's too bad the show is Cancelled. The show isn't officially cancelled, It's just doomed. By FOX not ordering episodes in advance they put the animators/artists out to find new jobs. The whole point of us petitioning was to save their jobs, ensure that we see the remaining episodes and the continuance of the show (the cancelled part). There is still Futurama episodes left to air, But what about the Future? What if FOX wants new episodes after they air the unaired? Basically, FOX is running our favorite show on TV into the ground. Anyways, I like this short seasons finale and TV Guides Editors choice was right on the money. I think I'll go ogle at my Futurama collection now. Ooh Ooh a Futurama Script on Ebay for sale....awe man look at that reserve price.... ;P
