well Fox has apparently released the schedule for season openers and Futurama at this time is scheduled for Nov. 10 7pm... all this according to AICN.

Do people even watch baseball anymore? It's hard to believe "America's Past time" has lost SO much popularity. If FOX knew what was best for them, they'd drop the baseball season all together. Not to mention almost all of FOX's new shows look HORRIBLE! You have to honestly wonder if FOX is trying to fail.

Hmmm. The Redskins are on the road at Jacksonville on Nov. 10. Kickoff at 4:05 pm. Know what that means boys and girls? That's right! Another season premiere pre-empted. Why do they bother?

Ahhh, Dan? It's called an opinion which I'm more then entitled to. I used to love baseball. I played baseball (Short Stop and Pitcher mostly) for ten years (6 - 16) I'd watch every Cubs game and every Reds game. I collected baseball cards avidly up until Strawberry went to court for drugs. I went to see the Reds play live at least three times a year (which is pretty good considering where I live), but now, the game has totally lost its spark. It isn't about playing for well over half the players now, it's about money. Drugs are rampant in almost every team. And the crowds have all but stopped showing up. If they do strike again this year (Sept 16) I'd be more then pleased to see Football take over as America's Past time.

About the Soccer comment... No, I'm not a soccer fan. I tried to watch the World Cup (I'm a true believer of "Don't Knock It Until Ya Try It") and it couldn't hold my interest. I'm I saying Soccer is a bad game? By no means! Those guys run around like nuts for 90 mins., which is something I know I can't do.

And finally, to tie all this in to Futurama (which makes fun of baseball, just like the Simpsons do), FOX is making bad choices by keeping something as costly as Baseball instead of keeping something that targets a tuff demographic like Futurama.

Oh, and one more thing (sorry to double post on something as trivial as this, but it needs to be said)... I just understood your, "...major leagues are striking but theirs also college" comment. If you play baseball for the love of the game, that's one thing -- but there are way to many players/managers/owners that are in Pro Baseball only for the money. Those are the people that have totally ruined the game. Put College games on the air; maybe I'll be less bitter then.

SO ...Futurama is airing new episodes on novembr 10th.That's good AND better than just airing in somewhere between
December & January.I really hope that Futurama will win the BEST ANIMATED PROGRAM[FOR PROGRAMMING LESS THAN ONE HOUR]
& That people will be unfair and give THE SIMPSONS All the glory.
