Can't get enough Futurama

Futurama on CN: January 13th

Mediaweek reports that Cartoon Network will expand their Adult Swim block to 5 nights a week starting Sunday, January 12th. Speculation was around a bit earlier already but it looks final now.
The new timeslots will be Sunday through Thursday from 11pm to 1am with Futurama as the opener at 11pm from Monday through Thursday.
This gives us 4 episodes a week (plus maybe - just maybe - one on Sunday on FOX ).

Interesting for the UK: Sky/NTL Digital channel CNX recently added 5 Adult Swim programs to their lineup. Hope for Futurama in the future. In the meantime, watch Futurama at 10:25am on C4 this week.

Futurama these morning gives a purpose to getting out of bed during half term. Although I suppose I COULD get a TV in my room....

Has anyone contacted Cartoon Network to find out what order the episodes will be shown? Since FOX seemed to randomly pull things out of the bag and show it - it would be interesting to see the shows in the proper order.

Yes, yes - I'm aware that all over the world fans can do that with Seasons 1 and (soon) 2 via DVD, but I live in that seemingly technolgically backwards country called the U.S.A. We ain't got us none of them thar Futurama Dee Vee Dees here 'bouts.

CN will probably air them in the order they were produced. they do it with all of their shows.

Regarding #7/#8: I second that. Don't want to have to ban part of Portland from posting here. So, behave or begone.

On another note: If they don't delay the shows on CN, 72 episodes would mean 18 weeks till they reach the last one (If they are allowerd to show the 4ACVs of 'this' season).
I wonder if CN will go into a repeat loop right away then. After all they paid quite some money. Can anyone with CN expirience tell what their usual syndication behaviour is? Do they pause after showing them once usually?

Cartoon Network plays the shows in order, and I am pretty sure they play them in loops. They go through the entire tv series and start over, with no pauses. However, since adult swim was normally only a weekend thing, they might do a different format for the later weeknight version they switched to.

Yep, McGrady (and others) are right. CN "usually" plays all their stuff without season looping; just series looping.

And mArc, just so ya know, you've had a troll roaming around for a while now (about a month).

Why doesn't CN buy the rights and produce some Futurama...surely it's not so much more expensive to produce than Justice League or Samurai Jack...surely more than cheap-ass Dragonball

Lessie. Samurai Jack costs $500,000 an episode. Justice League costs $700,000 an episode. Futurama.....costs much more than that.
