Now, with only 2 days remaining till the Futurama Season 5 Premiere on Sunday at 7pm on FOX, it's time to tell all your friends to watch the show. Especially if they own a Nielsen rating card . And I mean it. Tell friends. And after the show, come back here to review it and help with the capsules.

Al Gore guest-stars in the Nov. 10 season premiere of the Fox animated comedy "Futurama" as a disembodied head. In an episode written by his daughter Kristin, Gore's preserved cranium hosts an emergency summit to determine how to combat global warming caused by robot emissions. The former veep tells Entertainment Weekly that he's developed "a taste for cartoon acting. . . . I think I might have a future as a disembodied head."

Sure, Futurama season 5 is *supposed* to premiere in two days. But will we people who live in the Eastern time zone be able to see it? Or will it definently be pre-empted or shown in progress?

You know what's retarded? FOX's Philadelphia affiliate's football games don't even feature teams that are remotely near us. Last week it was like.. the 49ers. Last time I checked, they were on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE COUNTRY. Why does FOX think Philadelphians(and New Jersey viewers) want to watch that?

I got one of the Nielson ratings cards (book/diary more like it). It is valid for 2 weeks, started yesterday. I don't know how it will work though, since a bunch of sites get the "official" ratings the next day. Since I get my Fox from New York, I should be in the clear for some quality ratings of my favorite show(s?).

I'm not all sure with the Nielsen rating either, but there are at least two for each show. One is overnight. The one really counting is calculated later.

I don't know why you guys are so incredulous about the episode being written Kristen Gore. She's listed as a staff writer, and has been credited in many episodes prior to this one (check your tapes as well as the mini-bio at imdb!); although the Gore cameo does makes for more juicy media coverage.

She's just as much Futurama as this website...

Might have sounded wrong there: Kristin Gore does/did write for Futurama (Leela's Homeworld), but she didn't write this episode (it's by Aaron Ehasz - Futurestocks)

Well, I'm sure that it's more of a group effort than an individual effort. Aaron is listed as the executive story editor, Jeff Westbrook as the story editor and Kristin Gore as Staff Writer.
