Futurama S2 DVD set for Australia?

Need your help here.

Some of you might know that the Futurama Season 1 DVD set released in the UK was both region 2 (Europe) and region 4(Australia, NZ) enabled. For what reason I don't know. Maybe they planned on simply shipping left over copies to Australia later on.

Now, the new 'Futurama DVD: Season 2' (UK version, only) also displays a legal warning for Australia (did anyone ever read them? They tell about how you aren't supposed to watch them while stationed on oil rigs...). Can anyone with a capable DVD player either confirm or dismiss the Aussie's hope of the DVDs being region 4, too?

UPDATE: Good news! Many people confirmed that the DVDs shipped by amazon.co.uk also run on region 4 DVD players!

I have ordered the disks in the hope that they are R4 as well as the last set. I have a r4 only player. My disks should arrive in the next few days, I will advise once i have received them. If not than a off to the shops to buy a multizone :)

Wait... give me a link to these season one and two futurama region 4's or something similar. Preferably one where I can give mArc support, too. Then I'll discretely post it on the fridge, and hope somebody buys it for me for christmas.

Rach: I can't promise that the second set has Region4 enabled, so I'd wait for word by someone here or on PEEL.

After putting it into your shopping card there, you can go on and do a search for Futurama Season 1 DVD there and add that, too.

series one had the aussie warning as well and it works fine for me (i am in australia by the way), i'm assuming series two will be the same. anyway most dvd players these days seem to be multi-regional. If you do have trouble use your new found legal right to get your hands on a mod chip.

It does work on region 4, i just changed the region on my pc to test it.

michaeldvd.com.au says season 1 will be out on 27/11/02 and season 2 (tentatively) due out 1/5/03

just looked on the boxes but no help there. but the box set is great if you can get hold of it.

Yep, just tested my UK DVDs and they're both region 2 and 4.

Does anybody know if the soon to be released region 4 series 1 has the same extras as the other regions?

Just got my order from the UK today and it plays on my R4 (only) player. The funny thing is I got it from amazon.co.uk for 18.99 which turned out to be $60AUD. This will probably be $15 or so cheaper than when its released in Oz. Cant keep typing...4 disks to get through :)

I just tried to use it on my pal xbox, and it keeps reseting it? is it my console or is anyone else having this problem?
