Jurassic Bark Mini FAQ

I'll use this space to answer some questions and remark on some info I got by email numerous times. Most of this can be found in the updated Jurassic Bark Capsule.

  • In the scene where Fry is in the Cryo Labs, there is a Nibblonian Eye in the waste basket.
  • A bit later one can see the shadow of a Nibblonian just like in Space Pilot 3k. However, there is a second shadow this time. Wait for "The Why of Fry" for the solution to this.
  • The song at the end is "I will wait for you". It was composed by Michel Legrand and sung by many artists. This version has Connie Francis.
  • There are many stories about "dog waiting for owner after death for many years". One would be Old Shep, another Hachiko.

    If I remember correctly there was no shadow in AoI I, hence Fry did not fall into the chamber. I could be wrong on this but that is what I remember.

    Incidentally, Shep became the basis for Lassie - and Lassie was given the name Shep a few times, most notably in "The Painted Hills".

    Considering the Anthology of Interest tales are fictional stories, a la The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror tales, they should be taken with a grain of salt, and not too seriously. Though, sometimes they can impart some possible information (such as Leela's attraction to Fry.)

    Gah and because of FOX, "The Why of Fry" isnt going to air until February i bet. I cant wait!

    It's airing in mid-January 2003. I wouldn't mind, except the next two episodes are repeats - that that it would matter, since I live in New York City and they'll be preempted. Thank goodness I'm a New York Giants fan or it would be torture.

    "The Why of Fry" airing might well take longer. The next two weeks are confirmed as reruns but there might be (and probably will be) some more in between.

    yeah i really dont think Why of Fry will air until after the superbowl. once the playoffs start, say goodbye to Futurama to us East costers.

    Scary thoughts, some full of potential:

    (1) The new shadow. Unlike the "what if?" nature of "Anthology of Interest," we have just seen 'real' events altered.
    (2) Farnsworth's device may very well still hold Seymour's brain scan.
    (3) Uh, isn't anyone curious as exactly HOW Seymour was "flash-fossilized?" If he was found still standing in front of Panucci's, that doesn't bode well for Old New York...
    (4) Cubert showed up for the first time in ages--aside from "AoI II"--and no one's made a peep, positive or negative.

    Considering Seymore lived at Fry's place, I'm sure there are MANY ways to be flash-fossilized there. I think Fry's parakeet, goldfish, cat, other dog, and unseen baby sister were ALL flash-fossilized.

    Yes, but the See 'N' Say attachment had "The dog says MOOOOOOOOOOO!" For all we know, had they went through with the cloning, Fry would have had a dog that thought it was a cow, or a cow that acted like Seymore, and mooed "I'm walking on sunshine". That would have been a catastrophe.

    Jonah, please watch a show before you comment. If you had, you would have realised the reason it took so long for them to almost clone the dog was because of the problem with the machine which was later fixed.

    Also, if you had watched it, you would have realised Seymore died/was flash fossillised at Pannuci's not at Fry's place.

    Where did you get the idea Fry has any of those things anyway? He def didn't have another dog, cat or sister.
