Dub The Frame: Love & Rocket

Next round of Dub The Frame has started. This time it's a frame from yesterday's Love & Rocket epilogue.

My personal winner for last round (dog in sauce): Benn with
Fry: You're right, Mr Panucci, opening this pizza franchise in Ho Chi Minh City was the best thing you've ever done.

Reason: It gives me the chance to link to this article on Lauren Tom (voice of Amy) talking about the problems of Asian-Americans and the dog eating clich

If you have ever posted a dub for any of the frames, I pity you. I have read every single one and was bored out of my mind. The only time I even cracked a smile while reading them was while I was making fun of the dubs that were so poorly written that I couldn

Well, in case you don't like what you read, one solution is not to. Other people seem to quite enjoy both writing and reading.

I'm currently too busy to implement a rating system and it would only be fair if rating was restricted to last rounds entries.

Yeah, most of the dubs aren't great, but some of them aren't all that bad. I mean, it's not like anyone's forcing you to read 'em. And I could, because I'm a big guy, and I'm good with knots.

Everybody sing! "Klang klang klang went the Trolly!"

these dubs are just lame thats all... not too many funny people go to this site. I think its safe to say no one will be working for a comedy show any time in the future.

A much better caption contest/site (for The Simpsons) is www.duffgardens.net/ich. Maybe some people should go there and see what good captions are like.

I realize the fact that I have a choice whether to read them or not. The fact is, I WANT to read them. I WANT to laugh at them. However, it just seems like too many people just post for the sole purpose of posting. They dub the frames just to get their two cents in whether they can think of something funny or not. A similar syndrome to websites who update more often then they are creative enough to handle in a feeble attempt to please their readers. Those websites die fast. It does however seem like some people are making an effort. Lets hope things improve.

disappointed, I got the feeling you were implying that CGEF updates too often and sometimes doesn't have good/real Futurama news. You may be right...

Okay.

Disappointed, you have a point in that many dubs seem to be posted for the sake of posting (and a lot seem to be there just to attempt to offend), but your first message slammed EVERYBODY and was exceptionally snotty. Why can't you and waffleking show all us effing idiots how it's done, then? Show us TEH FUNNY or keep it zipped.

"Dub The Frame" is just there. It's not the core of CGEF, just a timewaster on the side.

Royal, yes I do have a point. You missed it. The fact that I haven

I guess the fact is, if dubbers were funny enough to impress everyone who visits this site, we'd all have high-paying comedian jobs and wouldn't be giving out A material for free. Myself, I had a funny thought, I submitted it to this dub, and if you don't like it, I'll try better next time. Ratings would help, I agree, but until then, please make constructive criticism, not just "stop posting your lame attempts".

Well, excuse me, disappointed. I didn't know I had to live up to some Oscar-level standards of humor to make dubs. I'll try and remember it in the future.

I have lots of possible dubs for the framegrabs, but somehow I only post the ones >I< find funny. If you don't think I'm funny, that's your problem, it wont keep me awake at night.

Thanks for the pity, I'll add it to the pile.

that's what makes sifting through the oatmeal to find the marble so great.

The oatmeal that causes you to hold your hand over your eyes, and shake your head...

Oatmeal's overrated. Why did you even bring it up?
