Can't get enough Futurama

Annie Award for Rich Moore

According to the Annie Awards site it looks like Rich Moore won in the "Directing in an Animated Television Production" category for his work on the Emmy-winning "Roswell That Ends Well" episode. (There is an HTML error on their site which keeps Rich from showing as the winner).

Futurama was also nominated for "Outstanding Achievement in an Animated Television Production", but like the last several years, that one went to the Simpsons.

Well, that's good news for Rich Moore, he will have even less trouble finding a new job with that in his pocket.

Well, I suppose the Simpsons deserve it because making episodes that keep getting crappier year after year and managing to have the show still running that way sure is an outstanding achievement.

Another award for Futurama. This can only be good news. Plus, it's good that it got a nomination in the other category.

Still, it doesn't surprise me that The Simpsons is still picking up awards, there are so many super-loyal fans of the show out there.

Anyway, congratulations to Rich Moore!

Awards are good. Maybe when FOX realizes that not only do fans recognize Futurama's unique appeal, but critics do too.

I really really really hope that this thing ends well, but I don't hold out hope. Family Guy's precedent does not bode well for our beloved show.
