Futurama Episode on TNT

This Sunday (the 9th) at 11pm, TNT will be showing one episode of Futurama following the NBA All-Star Game as a part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim promotion. The episode will probably be "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" in which the Planet Express Crew is pitted against the classic Enterprise Crew.
If you can't receive Cartoon Network but TNT, this might be a chance for you to catch this pretty fun (for ST geeks for sure) episode, which Cartoon Network won't be airing in due time.
While it's nice to see that Turner is allowed to pimp out Futurama on another channel, it's a bit unfortunate that Futurama fans have to pick as Cartoon Network will be showing an episode at the same time.

Just switch channel from CN to TNT or vice versa for a second or two... just to get the ratings up for both CN and TNT.

Well, that's what the VCR was invented for. Watch one, tape the other :)!
But on another note, this piece of the puzzle suddenly makes things all the more complicated. The question is, DOES the Turner Company have the right to show the season four eps at this time? Obviously, they have the rights to show this episode, so we can assume they have the rights to show all the others. But why isn't CN showing any of the 4ACV eps at this time, whereas one will be shown on TNT? I really, REALLY don't get it.

Maybe CN wants to save some eps for later, so that they won't have to show old eps all the time.

Cartoon Network pimping "Futurama" to another network and only airring three seasons--figures. This isn't the first time that they've pulled the wool over the eyes of cartoon fans. Here are some past crimes against humanity that CN has pulled:

*Airring only 52 out of approximately 127 episodes of Voltron when it was on Toonami (no second season Lion Force or Vehicle Voltron).

*Not airring the Mospeda portion of Robotech on Toonami.

*Only airring a few episodes of G-Force on Toonami, and even then late at night.

*Airring watered-down dubs of Sailor Moon. (Noticing a trend here, fellow anime fans?)

*Airring its own cartoons and Looney Toons ad nauseum.

*Not airring the old He-Man to go with the new one (which would have made a lot of sense to the fans).

And so on. *sigh* But, I guess we should be grateful that Futurama is on the air SOMEWHERE in America. And trust me, I am. I just wish the show were treated with a little more respect, that's all.

With Futurama, I doubt they'll be screwing around simply because it was very expensive for their wallet.

On the episode to air: I'm getting conflicting news now. The Star Trek episode I mentioned is directly from a perss release, but we might end up with something different. (The press release weirdly enough tells something about "future full of ads", which is a joke from "A Bicyclops built for two".)

Wow, it really is getting crazy. Wouldn't it be cool if we could just know the *truth* to all this? But I wouldn't think CN will be screwing around with Futurama like they do with anime. It's a positive sign as it is that CN doesn't censor and edit Futurama, like they do with anime and some other cartoons.
