Coming to a GameCube near you

While we are all waiting for the Futurama game to get in stores near us, Ign already took a first glance at the upcoming futurama game:
The story is set up to be another classic case of saving the planet Earth from certain destruction, except with a quirky Futurama spin on things. The evil businesswoman Mom has just purchased Planet Express Deliveries from Professor Farnsworth. [...] Pretty impressive, no? Players must stop the evil Mom by joining forces with the Planet Express team, traveling back in time, and preventing the deal from happening.
Read the full article or look at some screenshots from sci games and Gamespot The futurama action/platform game is expected on June 2003 and available on GameCube, PS2 and XBox. Thanks to Sachit Harish for the lead.

the graphics look awful right now. woof. i hope thats just due to the fact that the game is still being worked on.

i was really hoping for a cel shaded flat fighter a la Final Fight or the old school Ninja Turtles arcade games. i had high hopes for this games. i hope its good!

those are the same screenshots that have been floating around for awhile so there is hope that the graphics will be improved

I would hope so. That looks as bad as the Simpsons Wrestling for the PS1. I mean, Simpsons Road Rage had way better cel-shaded graphics and it's a good two years old now.

More screens are availible at Gamespot. They look a hell of a lot better too. Still not the best, but much better. Also, it's worth mentioning that all the screenshots I've seen have been the same, regardless of what console it says it's for. This probably means that they are showing you the PS2 version, which would explain why the black outlines are so jaggy.

Now now, us Futurama fans are all intelligent and mature individuals. I have a PC (obviously) and a PS2, and I like them both. All the gaming systems have good points :)

I hope its actually going to come out in June and not just be saying that so we would have to wait like two more years for it to be released. I would think it would be coming out in June since they have alot of screenshots avaliable to view. Speaking of screenshots, they are a little messy but like blahness said most of them have been floating around for awhile, and I know they are going to improve them before the game comes out,and even if they don't its still going to be an awesome game!!

I don't have any of the nex-gen consoles and those screens sure don't motivate me to go buy one. Most of the games that are inspired from movies or TV shows are either poor or, at the best, average games and I don't expect this one to be an exception.

Best scenario: A good rental.
Worst scenario: A dust gatherer on store shelves.
But that's just my opinion.

After seeing the trailer on the PSW DVD i can honestly say that the screenshots do no justice to the game in (smooth flo-mo) motion. Trust me you have nothing to worry about.
