i'd love to see a futurama mmorpg. Get delivery jobs between earth, the moon, omicron etc.

Freelancer mod anyone?

If anyone here was suckered into buying Acclaim's awful "South Park" game, "Futurama" looks similar visually; not like the 2-D 'real' show, but a 3-D representation, with all the advantages and disadvantages that entails. (Hopefully, the game play will be better than "South Park;" at least the characters are IN view.)

Zoiberg there is? Yay? What, no Amy? Boo!

Its just not fair? What about us PC users??? We're getting screwed over... "boned" if you will.

Anyone with a fast connection mind describing the trailer for those of us with dial-up? I don't really want to spend 5 hours d/l a 35Mb file :P

I'll wait to see the reviews of that game before even thinking about renting it (because in my case that also means renting a console as well). I really don't have big expectations from that game. Games that are inspired from movies or tv series are rarely great, especially with those 3 consoles.

Once I watched the first few seconds of this trailer I stopped downloading it. Not because it looks bad or anything, but because its actually the same trailer from the PSW DVD. When the footage is viewed in crystal clear DVD quality on a Sony widescreen TV it really looks impressive. It's quite clear that they really have tried hard with this game. It has an original story, a great script and all the previews i have read from magazines are very positive. Basically the current view is it probably won't be a revolution in gaming, but it's going to be a bloody good fun 3D platformer!

I have to get this game!
JamesDeanApr 6th 2003, 00:00
holy cow, i hope the game is going to look better than that. Bender's eye cover thing isnt even round, its got jagged lines.
Is that the most polygon count they could afford?

What? no PC game? unfair, unfair, unfair.
Making games is easier and more cost effective for PC--you can release it even if it isn't done, because the company can just come out with a patch in two months...hear that, SONY? HUH? HUH?

argh. some of us have macs, you know.
give us quicktime too, or at least use WM7, which is what windows media for OS X plays.
i really *hate* the state of web video sometimes.
JrrrPopplerApr 7th 2003, 00:00
I may end up getting it but those graphics are terrible. Hope there's multiplayer.
NappoApr 8th 2003, 00:00
Am I mistaken or has every line they say (except the first) already been used in the show?
evanApr 8th 2003, 00:00
I agree with Jrr. The animation looks all jerky and crappy. Plus, I'm naturally nervous about any video game based upon a sit-com. They tend to suck. Big time.

may i say yah
