Can't get enough Futurama

Hollywood Reporter on late nights

The Hollywood Reporter (through Reuters) sent an article called "Cable networks targeting late night" through the wires.
Cartoon's "Adult Swim" animation block caught fire quickly after Turner Broadcasting (a division of AOL Time Warner, as is CNN.com) expanded it from two to five nights a week in January. Replacing kid-friendly fare with off-kilter cartoons ranging from original fare like "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" to acquisitions like "Futurama," "Swim" is draining pools of young viewers accustomed to broadcast fare from 11 p.m.-2 a.m.

From January 13-March 23, "Swim" outdelivered "Kimmel," "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," "Late Show With David Letterman," "The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn" and "Last Call With Carson Daly" in viewers 12-17, males 12-17 and males 12-24.
CNN decorated the broad article with a promo shot of Futurama's "Time Keeps on Slippin'" and subtitled it "'Futurama,' the Fox series now appearing on Cartoon Network, has been key to the latter's late-night success."

In other news: FOX's Futurama replacement "X-Men 2 Special" last Sunday stank in the ratings.

I keep my VCR progged to record 7pm Sundays (just in case) so I picked up the "X-Men 2 Special." Stopped watching halfway through. The whole "news magazine" format was poorly done, and there were too many shots that appear to be spoilers. Looks like a fun movie; just a lousy "special."

"Futurama" helped kick Letterman AND Leno's asses? Boo-yeah! Success is the best revenge.

Futurama is the best. I can't understand what Fox is thinking...

This is pissing me off now :(

It is SOOOOO obvious to everyone that Futurama is quality and is being dumped by FOX for no apparrent reason. FOX is cutting off their nose to spite their face and it's very disappointing :(

Conan O'Brein is the best late night host in the two hour period. Leno is too Hollywood for my tastes, Letterman is o.k. in small doses, and Kilborn needs a band instead of some guy pushing the music button. I just hope that Conan can someday take over The Tonight Show. That would be sweet.
CN actually shows the Family Guy credits in full frame which is probably never happened when the show was on the ever-so-smart Fox. It was back in 1999 when the networks starting to put the credits in a little box where you can't see what year the show was made or who worked on the show. It has gotten better now but the credits rolled by way too fast to read. Futurama kicks ass!

FOX tries to get higher ratings on their 7.00 PM timeslot just to show us that we are wrong.
But nothing that they reaplaces Futurama with gets higher ratings.
FOX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fox hates Futurama so much that they're willing to sacrifice ratings? Man, they really are stupid.

Even though there are no new Futurama episodes being made, it is comforting to know that the show will NOT go gently into that good night...

One of my fears was the idea that Futurama would go off the air and would be remembered by no one. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Stupid-ass Fox. The way they're doing things beats common logic and good sense, as they'll never get viewers that way.

Fox's desire to kill Futurama knows no bounds. I don't know about you guys, but over by me Fox has even scheduled Simpsons reruns for 11pm to go up against Futurama. On the plus side, it at least means that Fox has noticed the huge ratings that Futurama receives on Adult Swim. You still have to admire Rupert Murdoch's persistence in trying to kill it off. I'm just surprised Fox didn't buy the rights of Futurama away from Cartoon Network, dispose of the show, and deny that Futurama ever existed. Sorry about the rant, but it seems to be Fox's sole mission to get me angry. Long live the Simpsons!!! best show ever and although it's declining in quality it's still the best show currently on TV.

Don't give Fox any ideas you FOOL!

F***ing Rupert Murdoch! Die, die die!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(You too, FOX! Or at least whoever wanted to cancel Futurama in the first place...............)

By the way, Maybe, just maybe, Futurama will go on, with a different network supporting it?????
