Can't get enough Futurama

No Game Cube Futurama Video Game?

I just got confirmation by the public relations director of Vivendi Universal Games that there won't be a Game Cube version of the Futurama Video Game in Northern America. SCi (Europe) does not yet confirm a release date for that version either, after all. I've been told by people testing the game that there were only PS2 and X-Box versions around at that time (about three months ago). This could indicate some problems with the time line or with technical/quality issues. Seemingly, two of the game producers have abandoned ship (or got thrown overboard) at the development company, which doesn't really bode well in the final stages.

I bought a gamecube 2 weeks ago and the Futurama game was one of the top reasons why I bought it!

I sympathize with you Grim. It sure must be really disappointing. But at least you can still return it and buy a PS2 or a Xbox instead. Or you can rent one of those two consoles and try the game to see whether it's worth it or not.

Mabe there will be a Futurama game for GCN at a latter date then the other councils, just like what happened with The Sims.

I hope there will be a version for the pc because i don't care for the xbox, ps2 and game cube. If not i can get the ps2 version to run on my pc.

#1, You bought a games console to buy a game that you didn't know was good, and even if it was definately coming out on it?
Honestly, How many licensed games have been made that were actually any good?
About 10% if that.
Though I have to say that the GC is in my opinion the best console on the market.
Don't hold your breath on it coming out on the GC or PC, it has to sell well on the PS2 and X-Box first.

Don't get too excited. I worked in the game industry and 99 out of 100 licensed property games are lame. They pump a ton of cash into the purchase of the license and low-budget the development, knowing a certain number of people will buy it because of the license alone. Add to that scenario the fact that Futurama is not watched by a lot of people...

well, since this is happening, I guess I wont be playing the game, since I sure as hell wont be buying a whole console to play this.

Honestly, why can't third party games just release for every system? I don't see the point in excluding any particular system. But, since like most liscensed games tend to suck, I guess I PROBABLY wont be missing much.

This is lame... the release is confirmed for the European GameCube, just not for the North American one. There's something very fishy going on with this game, and I'd likely blame it on Sony and/or Microsoft before pointing the finger at Fox this time.

That sucks. Truth be told, the game looked pretty crappy. But I would have at least rented it and used a cheat code to watch all the hilarious cut scenes.

If you go to the website www.play247.com they show that futurama is going to be on the game cube.
For those of you who have never been to play247.com its a bit like amazon.com. Any way just thought i would let you all know.

That is odd...you would think they would at least announce that the cube version was canned (other then on some fan site, I mean, not to say this site isn't reliable). Though www.ign.com's "Big E3 List" says they'll be showing the PS2 and X-Box versions only...no cube, so I guess we'll see.

This is Gayness! The sad part is, I saw the Gamecube version on Amazon.com and walmart.com yesterday. FUCK MAN, I should hav researched this before hand, because I all ready dished out 60 dollars out to Wal-Mart and they're gonna be hell for me asking for a refund and it'll take several weeks. IF THE GAME WAS CANCELED BACK IN APRIL, THEN WHY IN BLOODY HELL DOES AMAZON.COM AND WALMART STILL HAVE THE FUCKING GAME LISTED. That just pisses me off.
