HMMMMMMMMM WELL THE STORY SOUNDS GOOD BUT I THINK ONCE THE SHOW IS OVER THE COMIC WILL DIE OUT TOO

The comics are something that we as fans have direct control over wether they are successfull or not. We have a direct control by just buying them so if you want to see the comics continue please go out and buy each issue. You won't be disappointed as they are doing some really fun stuff and issue 13 is no exception to that.
Also, issue 11 was written by Futurama writer Patric Verrone and from what I have heard is an unused story idea for the show. He will also be writing issue 14 so it is possible we will get some more show continuity within the comics. I think it is a great idea and hope other writers from the show pitch in every now and then. If you didn't get a chance to read issue 11 do so. It definitely reads more like the show and was a top notch issue.
Speaking of top notch issues - Ian Boothby has really proven that he has a great handle on the characters of Futurama. He must be a fan of the show because he writes them so well. This is another great issue and I hope that he also lends his writing skills and ideas to the pages of Futurama Comics. Especially if James Lloyd is going to continue to turn out such stellar work on the art side. That guy does some really great work and he has some really nice splash pages in this issue that are really fun.

On another note, the Bongo Profile did not replace the letters columns. They ran some house ads in their stead. The Bongo Profile looks to be a regular feature these days as they are also being run in Simpsons Comics but they are still running the letters page. Be sure to send in those letters to Futurama Comics and let them know what a great job they are doing on the series. As stated before this is a direct way to let them know that the fans are still out here and are still interested in the show. I plan on writing a letter for each issue and encourage many others to do the same.
So, to sum up - buy the comics to keep them and the spirit of the show alive and don't use drugs.

In the episode thats lobstertainment gotfuturama.com is mentioned in the comentry about the episode being voted one of the worst episodes. None of them understand why as they all liked the episode.

It isn't a bad episode not like a leela of her own, the route of all evil, or 30% iron chef.

Outside of going from comic book shop to comic book shop (there's a whopping one that carries Futurama in a 75 mile radius -- I live in hell), is there a way to get all the back issues? I'm very interested in grabbing these comics, but I'd really rather prefer going from the beginning.

Tin_Foil: MileHighComics (.com) has most back issues available and some as sale (meaning, not as much over the original price). Other than that, ebay usually is full of them.

I read that I might be reading the reviews so came on to see if I was. Seems I am.

My review would be James Lloyd is a comic drawing god. We'll be jammin' on a second Simpsons/Futurama crossover soon and it's gonna be sweet.

When I ordered Season 3 DVDs from Amazon UK, I figured I may as well get the Trade Paperback of the first four comics at a discount price, thanks to a good exchange rate. (I live in NZ)
It occurred to me I buy the latest one from the local comic store to see what they're like first, and I can't say I was dissapointed. :)
I've never read very many comics, and adapting to the print form took a bit of adjustment - trying to read it like it should be read.
Having said that, the script is great, and I'm not just saying that because Ian Boothby is reading this. It felt exactly like it should - a futurama episode on paper. I also loved the detail put into some of the larger frames, all the small background embellishments, etc.
My only real complaint is that it was _far_ too short!

Ian: Keep writing. Please, please keep writing. I know I'm going to miss Futurama terribly once the last episode is shown, and these comics might just keep me sane ;)

Now that we know the show is cancelled, we should get behind the comic, buy whatever we can, write as many letters to bongo as possible, see if we can make it monthly, cause two months is just too long to wait, Bongo Comics, if you're reading this please make Futurama monthly, also see if you can have some guest artists like you have for Treehouse of horror books, like an ANNUAL OF INTEREST!!!!!, make a miniseries or one-shots of certain characters (LEELA mini seies mmmmm:))just a suggestion, but that would seriously help out a lot jonesin' Futurama fans who can no longer count on any new television eps, please see what you guys can do, the future is wide open

I just got this issue yesterday, and after reading it, I wish to find all the other Futurama Comics back issues. It's a great story, and I could really picture it as if it were on t.v. If you love Futurama, but haven't gotten into the comic yet, I recommend that you go out and hunt for this and subsequent issues. It's worth it.

Mile High Comics in Denver has Many back issues, I was able to complete my collection through them. You should be able to find them on the web, and they can hook you up!
