This is Good News, Everyone! in two ways -
1. We should thus be seeing the missing episodes on UK TV sometime before November (looked unlikely thanks to the crappy scheduling)
2. I can drop some very unsubtle hints about Christmas presents....

Good news! Hopefully , there will be french subtitles because the fourth season will never be on TV here in France.

Hopefully David Cohen will upervise a lot of the stuff - he always speaks about extras in the commentaries that should be on - and since this is the last they should just put every bit of footage/behind the scenes/animatics/deleted scenes/recording sessions or ANYTHING else we havent seen before since this is the last ever box set. =sniff=
I got the impression there was loads of extras we woruldn't normally ahve gotten on Season Three's because they knew they were cancelled.

@Jen - There's nothing wrong with UK TV's scheduling of Futurama, at least as far as Sky-One goes. We're only one episode behind the US!

I heard Novemeber mentioned on PEEL, but from an unreliable source. It sounds too early to me. mArc, where did you see/hear this?

problem with UK TV is that they can't show the new episodes of futurama until they've been shown in the US for some strange reason, It's all down to damn FOX. you never know when Sky ONE will be screening futurama each week it varies one week theres no episode and then the next week a new episode.

N E way can't wait for season 4, november sounds about right, fits in with the other release dates.

You guys has to be lucky! Season 2 hasn't even gotten released in the United States. Damn those Region 1 dvd players where you can't view anything but only Region 1 dvds. You think someone would have the balls to create a universal Region dvd without "Hollywood" being all pissy by now.

Anyways at least three dvds will be release in a five week period in late August starting with Simpsons Season Three (Simpsons starts getting good here), then the long-waited Futurama Season 2, and finally the last piece to the Family Guy collection Season 3. Ironically these are all Fox shows and the money from the dvds would go to fuel the Gail Berman reign of terror on once decent shows and destory them slowing with premptions of "American Idol"-related shows. What to do? *sighs* As Bart Simpson says, "Damn if you do,damn if you don't."

#14 - I've mentioned this before but there are very inexpensive region-free DVD players out there if you are interested. I recently picked up the Norcent DP-300 for ~$40 off Amazon. You can make it region-free with a simple remote-hack. I then imported Seasons 2 and 3 from Amazon UK. The quality looks great on my player and for me it was definitely worth the additional cost.

Something to consider if you just can't wait for the region 1 release. I know I couldn't!

Try and remember that Fox Home Entertainment are seperate from the TV network. I have nothing but praise for Fox H.E they put a huge amount of effort into almost every film or TV release.

But the Fox network can burn in hell for ever! Those stupid, stupid, ignorant, motherf***ing, arseholes!!!

Damn! I live the united states and I'm still waiting for season 2! I just hope fox doesn't cancel the release or I will go find the studio and beat everybody up!

Hopfully this will translate into an accelerated R1 release schedule as well, with FOX HE (the good guys in FOXworld) trying to get them all out while the show is still fresh in people's minds.

Since S2 is coming out Aug. 12th, that could mean S3 in January and S4 in April/May, or almost six months earlier than I was previously expecting it.

#15, yes, we know about region x players, but then you cant take your futurama dvds to friends houses cause they wont have an R0 player.

Also, Sky One played a very cruel joke some weeks ago when they announced that "All-new Futurama" which turned out to be a re-run. I wet my pants for nothing!!! :o)

Just out of interest - does anybody know why the DVD sets are released in the UK before the US? Is it supposed to be more popular here or something?

Also, I suppose a grudged apology if Fox HE don't suck quite so much scum as FOX - just don't delay the final set release or you'll still be weasels!

its anoying cause sky one said at one point that they could show the eps before they were shown on fox but now they don't, WHY! still its better then what u have to put up with in the usa

if only fox would of promoted it more, then people would of known about futurama and it wouldn't of been caned.

i've just seen many of the grate shows that have been caned over the years like the critic, and clerks, and family guy, and dilbert, all grate shows.....why do those usa tv guys keep doing this to shows that are like or just as good or better then the simpsons. So far the only ones that have survived are south park and king of the hill, and king of the hills is crap. COME ON GIVE THESE SHOWS A CHANCE, WE NEED MORE ADUIT ANIMATION. Simpsons will end at some point and then what will we do?

George Lowe, the voice of Space Ghost himself, expressed his shared enthusiasm this weekend at the JACON anime convention in Orlando, Florida. The voice actor has long had to answer questions about SG:C2C DVDs with a negative response, but now seemed glad that he would no longer have to.

"During the convention, he confirmed that the first release for the series will contain the first season, comprised of the original ten episodes that aired in 1994. He also noted that he will be going in next month to record audio commentary for these episodes, and Andy Merrill (voice of Brak) and C. Martin Croker (voice of Zorak) will likely be joining him.
