Last Few New Futuramas On Sundays

First a reminder that there is an unaired Futurama episode on this Sunday at 7PM on FOX. Don't miss Fry's horn getting abducted.

This brings us to the following confirmed schedule:
  • Sun 13th: Spanish Fry.
  • Sun 20th: Bend Her
  • Sun 27th: Obsoletely Fabulous

    On the latter one I can reveal a bit more now (UPDATED: Now with corrections directly from the horse's mouth):
    When Fry, Bender and the Planet Express gang attend Roboticon 3003 - the world's largest robot trade show - the Professor purchases the new "Robot 1-X", which threatens to render Bender obsolete. Feeling inadequate, Bender returns to MomCorp for an upgrade, but becomes terrified that the procedure will erase his robo-humanity. In desperation, he escapes from the factory and becomes a castaway on a tropical island that seems uninhabited... or is it? Violence ensues.
    So, it is infact not a sequal to "Bend Her", but a separate episode about a separate Bender upgrade.

    After that we are expecting the final two episodes to air on Sunday the 3rd and 10th of August respectively.

    Both "Obsoletely Fabulous" and "Spanish Fry" sound really cool...the roboticon convention will definitely provide some good robot jokes. Still not sure about Bend Her, but I'll keep an open mind. One thing that bugs me is that Bend Her takes place during the 3004 olympics, but O.F. appears to take place during 3003. I'm not entirely sure about this, but it seems Fox has screwed up the continuity again...I think...

    The thing is it isn't fox that screwed up (this time), because Bend Her is 4ACV13 and Obsoletely Fabulous is 4ACV14. So dont blame fox (this time).

    "3003" could be a typo but who knows? Until the actual episode airs no one knows for sure.

    If you go to tv guide's website, you probably be annoyed with a Banzai ad. This little son of a bitch is right in front of your face and has the dumbest sounding voice or noise I ever heard in an ad. I just want to warn all of you Futurama fans, because I went to that website this morning and with the speakers turn up it shock me for a second. You can tell this show is a crock full of crap due to its ads on tv and internet.

    At this point I should come clean: I may be the source of the misconception that "Bend Her" and "Obsoletely Fabulous" were somehow related.

    I made this comment at PEEL long, long ago: given that (1) the two episodes come so close together, (2) the title of "Obsoletely" is a spoof of a show adored by the--erm--'flamboyant' community, and (3) the plot of "Bend Her" was already established as being about Bender getting a sex change, then it was possible that "Obsoletely" MIGHT be a continuance of "Bend Her."

    Emphasis on the MIGHT.

    I made it clear I was just blowing smoke out my butt, but that sort of thing can be repeated until it's accepted as professed fact.

    (Ask Al Gore about that. He never said he "invented the Internet;" Trent Lott twisted Gore's actual words into something preposterous and fed it to the late-night show-hosts. Now almost everyone believes it, and Gore treats it like a private joke.)

    I always thought the title was a riff of of the show "Absolutely Fabulous"

    Anyway, how can you tell what year the shows are based in?
