I HATE how FOX cuts off the credits! If they do cut them off this time, I hope we at least hear about what it was, and not have to wait for either the DVD or until they air on Cartoon Network.

I am also very curious about what the "special opening theme" will be. Is it going to be like how they remixed the theme on Mars University?

4ACV18, yes. It's the highest and last p-code (418) and so is obviously the last episode. Obvious to everyone except FOX, it seems.

Why didn't anyone till me it's Saturday! I thought today was Sunday damn it! Damn summer, it's hard to tell what day it is anymore. If my friend hadn't called me and told me it was Saturday, I would have been very disappointed when at 7:00, I saw a Simpsons repeat!

Now why would FOX make "Bender Should Not Be Alowed On Television" the series finale when "Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" is ment to be the final episode? STUPID FOX!!!

Fox want to appeal to the casual viewer, Bender would bring in the crowds. It would be easier to market.
"Hey, guys remember that cool cartoon robot you all love, no!? Oh that's because we tried to bury him for all eternity and erase him from human memory. But he's actually still around, and it's his last show ever. So tune in".

Maybe "Bender Should Not be Allowed on Television" is how FOX feels about Futurama (not allowed on TV).

At this point I almost don't care what sequence the episodes are aired in, I just want to see them.

Here's a thought, tape "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" and SAVE it to watch after the Bender episode. That way, you get to see the series finale as the last episode.

Watching tv is starting to become a pain thanks to fox.

I know somethings have been weird because of fox screwing with the scheduling, but has any continuity been really messed up? Sure, we got a lot of Fry and Leela in a row, and are finishing with a lot of Bender, but I don't think anything has been terribly out of order. (as an aside on the Olympics, given that the earth has been invaded and destroyed numerous times (heck, even in the 3000-3003 period of the show), it seems possible that the Olympics might have been set to a different schedule, or merged with the America's Cup..., just a thought).

Well, look on the bright side it is one less show or none ,whichever the case may be, to watch on Fox network when it is all over. Granted, Futurama might never come back and if it does it probably won't be the same. Whether or not that is a good thing only time will tell.

Fox network deserves to die after the bullshit they put us through the last year or so. However 20th Century Fox Entertainment should deserve to live on without the idioticy influences of one Gail Berman and her goons. Besides at least they restore the show with full frame credits at the end instead of squeezing them to the side to promote their garbage on Fox network.

Too true. Why watch FOX when they repeatedly kill your favorite shows--or screw them into the ground ("The Simpsons")? In a few weeks, my FOX affiliate gets deleted from my channel list forever, and I suggest everyone do the same.

19 and 20: I think, maybe you're going a little too far about Fox. Do they suck of cancelling Futurama and Family Guy? Yes. Do they suck for running The Simpsons in to the ground? Yes. Keep in mind 24 is still on Fox and they still have football on Fox; so all is not lost. Also in my area, they have two Simpsons reruns a day (and most of the time, they're from seasons 3-7). So while I think as highly as Fox as I do UPN; they're not all that evil.

Yes, Fox sucks because they've cancelled Futurama and Family Guy after only 5 and 4 years, respectively. Not like, say, ABC, who cancelled Clerks after 2 episodes. It's certainly not like the old days, when NBC let Star Trek run for 3 seasons.

And Fox also sucks because they allowed the Simpsons to run on without interference, even when (e.g., two seasons ago) it was at a low point both in ratings and in quality. They really should have cancelled it, right? You know, you can't have it both ways.

Which network exactly is it that picked up great shows like Futurama and never cancelled them? When's the last time CBS or UPN had anything nearly as good as Futurama to cancel?

And it's pretty rare that a network allows the creators of a troubled show to make a special finale for the fans. Yeah, there's Invader Zim, but can you think of any examples on a real network?

And, as spotty as Futurama's schedule has been, at least it hasn't been moved around from night to night until nobody can remember when it's on.

Now, I still hate Fox. After all, they created reality TV, they created fear-based local news, they declared the unelected W to be President, and they're a major force behind the consolidation of ownership in the news/entertainment/media industry.

Yes, they're almost as evil as AOL/Time-Warner, Disney, or Sony--which is pretty damn evil. If it weren't for the fact that they've given us some of the best TV in the last two decades, I'd never watch.

Let's not forget what ABC did to Sports Night. Like Star Trek, Futurama has the chance to go out without really going bad. Of course, the shame is that with animation and these characters and the talents behind them, it could have gone on for years..., However, lets face it, SF never does that well on TV, and remember what happened to X-files when they didn't know to get out while the getting was good.
