As for the figure sets, if anyone at Toynami is reading, might I suggest that before making Belzebot and Roberto, I would rather have Amy and Hermes, or Amy and Kif, or Amy and Zapp, or an entire line of Amy in ten different daring outfits. (Especially "Conga-Line Amy.")

And if you only ever make two figures, please make them Zoidberg and Amy.

Damn after reading that I am even more sad that I missed it. I really wish I would have know about the 2 hour line, and the full parking lot, as I am sure the CGEF crew did too. If I would have known I would have gotten their at like 7:00, just to make sure I was in my seat by 12:00. For some reason I really thought leaving my house 2 hours early was enough time. Oh well. This will probably be the last Futurama panel too, unless when or if a movie comes out.

OK, so I read the "Bender Should Not Be Allowed..." spoiler and it looks like another "silly" episode - so expect low ratings from the CGEF board reviewers. But - it sounds hilarious.

Wow - it's a little sad knowing that this may be the last Con gathering of the series' principles, but it's great to see they still love the series and at least have the desire to continue the Futurama universe in some form although funds are lacking at this point.

At least the new popularity means new toys. I can't wait to get the new figures to go with my MAC and Rocket USA stuff. Everyone buy multiple sets of the first 10 so that (fingers crossed) we see a Series II with the rest of the PE crew, along with Zapp, Kif, Lrrr and Nda...Nadd...Ndad - er, Mrs. Lrrr.

Also, thanks for the report, and its great to know that the creators still have the movie plans. That'd just be so great if they could do that - A long episode that can do what it likes and Fox can't pre-empt it's release! lol

I was there, and it was a great time as always. Just a couple recollections to add to the report: The episode was hilarious - non-stop LOUD laughter all the way through from the entire crowd. Matt Groening didn't seem bitter or angry at Fox; he was proud of what they achieved with Futurama - how they got to have total creative freedom and never had to take any notes from network executives. And at one point he said, "Futurama will live on in Pog form."

Sounds like a good time.

a fan also asked if they'd be coming back next year, dimaggio and west (i think) both jokingly said they would. i think groening actually said if they were invited, that they would all come back, so there's still hope.

Whoa, I hope these aren't "I-Men" figures...but I don't think you could do Roberto (for example) as an "I-Men" figure, so perhaps...and yet, at $5 per figure average, they won't be huge, either. Toynami doesn't EXCLUSIVELY make "I-Men" sets, so we'll have to see.

I'm still hoping for a Leela-n-Amy Real Dolls 2-pack. ...Never you mind "why"!!!

Yeah, when you see Billy West in person and realize he's not twentysomething--or Stimpy--it's a great testament to his acting abilities, isn't it?

+I'm pretty sure Matt said they'd be back next year if they "had more footage to show", so maybe someone will throw something together...

CON TIP: Did you guys/girls know that you can go down the night before and get your pass for the next day? It takes like 10 minutes, then you can walk right past the line the next morning! It always AMAZES me that more people dont do this...

They are i-men, but they got completly modelled heads. Most of them look pretty good. Just dunno if i-Men in general are worth $5 a piece on average to the casual fan...

I was at the panel and it was a blast! The new ep was hilarious, lots of fun Calculon bits and the hypno-toad is always fun. My friend Alex (whose voice was hoarse for the rest of the con 'cause he was laughing so hard) and I ran into John Dimaggio later that day at the con, and he was the nicest, coolest, most friendly guy we could have hoped to have met. He couldn't believe that we'd come all the way from Nova Scotia for the show, and told us he'd done standup comedy here ten years back. Anyway, he posed for some great photos with us, and was all around supercool. Truly larger than life.
