Futurama Video Game on G4TV

The cable channel G4TV scheduled a Saturday 26th airing of their gamer.tv feature called "In the Futurama". In this, they'll be talking to the guys behind the PS2 & XBox Futurama Video Game, which is due to be released on August 15th in America and August 1st in Europe.
Problem is, the report airs at 2:30 AM ET in the morning, so you might want to set your VCR.

Hey I am so mad!!! Where's the Game Cube Version! At the E3 they said that Futurama was going to be on Cube then all of a sudden at the last minute they change it! And after Super Mario and Donkey Kong appeared in a episode and everything!! Please get Futurama on Game Cube!!!!

If anyone has G4TV and a video-in card, or would like to send me a VHS copy... email me, pwease? Might be able to give you something nice in return. I'd actually rather have a video-in copy rather than VHS, but I'll settle for VHS too...

It's some cable channel. Check g4tv.com on how to get it (depends on your cable company). 11:30 PM on Friday for the west coast.

Just thought some of you may be intersted...
I was in town today and my local 'Game' store had the PS2 Futurama box on the shelves with a 'reserve your copy now' sicker on it. The front cover is obviously the art you've already seen on numerous websites, but the back hasn't been seen before. It's basically an original drawing of Mom standing on the balcony outside her office with her hands in the air, as a huge crowd of robots look up at her from the street below. It's not unlike the scene in the episode Mothers Day. There are three screenshots near the bottom of the box. And the front cover has two very positve (well they'd hardly be negative) review quotes from MTV (10/10) and someone else (I can't remember, but they also gave it full marks).

James, was that a GAME store in the UK? I'm gonna be near my local store tomorrow and was planning on popping in to see if I could swindle them out of giving me any promotional boxes or whatnot they might have that they will just throw away once the game is released.

I hear that the gamecube version is only being released in Europe. That sucks. The only systems I have are an N64 and a gamecube. Oh well
[-mArc-]Jul 26th 2003, 00:00
Sorry, doesn't look like there will be a GC version in Europe either.
JamesJul 26th 2003, 00:00
Yes Kazz, it was in the UK, Basingstoke to be precise.

For what its worth: Amazon still list the gamecube version as coming out on August 15 in the US. I would think that they would have pulled it by now. Still, the reports that the GC version has been pulled are solid. So make of this what you will.
