Can't get enough Futurama

More Season 3 DVD Releases

While it's been out in the UK and some other European nations for a while now, sad chums throughout the world still have to wait for their local version of the Futurama Season 3 DVD set. September will see this change for some as Germany is ready to go on Saturday 6th and Spain is to follow suit on Wednesday 10th. A little bit further down the road, the Australians get their fix on Wednesday the 24th. Americans still have to wait though: No confirmed date announced.
Read our detailed review of the UK version in between looking for coins under the sofa.

Yeah - it sucks that the R1s will be the last ones released, but at least we know that they are coming eventually. I have to believe that FOX Home Video (the good guys in the FOX stable) will want to release while the show continues to enjoy popularity on Cartoon Network (after all, it

True, we have to wait, but there's other stuff to purchase (Family Guy set 2; 24 Season 2; Space Ghost C2C). Plus, like #3 said, we have TBS and CN to watch season 3 and 4 all we want. (But no audio commentaries, deleted scenes and other fun stuff).

Look on the plus side, at least there is time to save up or buy other dvds like Family Guy. As soon as my Playstation 2 breaks down, I going to get me one of those region-free dvd players so I don't have to put up with these damn R1 delay releases. GTA 3 is about the only game I play anyway.

Is there a way to make a DVD-ROM drive region free, or at least compatable with region 2?

FINALLY!!! Season 3 is being release in Australia. I've missed half those episodes because damn 7 only aired half of the season. (can't wait...)

#8: You can use your DVD playback program to select any region (although, depending on the program, sometimes it can be a pain in the ass to figure out how). The drawback is, you can only re-set the region a limited number of times, then you're stuck.

There ARE programs out there that supposedly override the re-set limits, but I don't know of any right offhand (my PS2 is my region-1 player, my PC is my region-2 and I'm all set). Try Zar's suggestion (#11) or type "region-free DVD software" (without the quotes) into Google.com. Good luck!

Stupid 7, showed them late at night and pre-empted them with Dark Angel so often. But there is some justice in the world Aussies get the DVDs Sept 24!

#9. Channel 7 aired all of the eps of season 3 and are now showing season 4.
what you probably didnt realise is that they changed the day and time almost every week.
it used to be on thursday then it moved to wednesday and now its on tuesday at 11.30.

Hey, is there any difference in the UK/German releases?

I live in Germany, but if the UK one had something special, I would just Amazon it over here....

It's wonderful and all that we can get old episodes on DVD, but what I want is NEW episodes! I'd love to see 13 seasons' worth of Futurama!
sideshowbobSep 5th 2003, 00:00
13 seasons can make anything boring and repetative (yes even futurama)

When are those retards going to take care of business here in the US? Huh! Why do we have to wait so long? (Actually, I know why: they want to squeeze more $ out of re-runs...) Stupid corparate America bastards...
