Can't get enough Futurama
In Color

Farnsworth for the West

Westcoast viewers tonight at 7 get to see what seems to be the last Futurama rerun on FOX. The Farnsworth Parabox is a quite high rated episode centered around a mysterious box which the professor wants to get rid of before anyone looks into it...

Viewers in the East and Central time zones get big guys rolling over eachother in mud.

Damn the Midwest! I really like this episode.
BaronKrushaSep 7th 2003, 00:00
Yes! After all these years, living on the west coast will pay off!
LeahSep 7th 2003, 00:00
Eh, screw Fox all all their east coast affiliates. Just wait a couple months, and you'll be seeing these episodes on CN.
metallirockSep 7th 2003, 00:00
This is an outrage. Again I reiterate my distain for FOX. I hate them. They are simply pathetic!!!
vsoddhotmailcomSep 7th 2003, 00:00
DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL, FOX!!!!

For the first time in my life as long as I can remember, I hate living in Minnesota.
KimberlySep 7th 2003, 00:00
Fox, you s**k.

CN, PLEASE consider working with Groening and Cohen to produce new Futurama episodes. It can be a gold mine - heck, look at the ratings you're getting for RERUNS!! Imagine what could happen were you to produce new episodes, give it a stable timeslot, PROMOTE it, and offer merchandise!
JetSetRadioDudeSep 7th 2003, 00:00
Hey another minnesotan posts here! cool! well i thought futurama wasn't gonna be on because crouching tiger hidden dragon was on, but to then find out it would be on if football wasn't on just sucks. i hate fox!
ChrisHSep 7th 2003, 00:00
I live in Dallas, and I couldn't give a rats ass about the Cowboys game.

Even though I've seen this episode before-I need my Sunday Futurama fix! There'll be hell to pay...

I need It!!

As a Midwesterner, I missed what might have been the last Futurama episode I'd see in syndication because of stupid football. Why won't the idiots at Fox understand?

Futurama= excellent show that should never be cancelled, full of science fiction, humor, romance, suspense, and all-around excellence. It has three-dimensional characters, unpredictable plot twists, and fantastic animation.

Football= dumb low-brow sport where meaty guys chase a pig skin and roll around in the mud.

Which is the better thing to show? Hmmmmmmm?
IcehousemanSep 7th 2003, 00:00
#13: Football; if the Steelers are on. So in this case; Futurama.
SXWellitsbeenfunSep 7th 2003, 00:00
I was wondering if I was ever going to see those episodes that show Fry's lost dog or the one that the robots was causing the greenhouse effect on Earth due to their exhaust gases. I guess not because I miss the part of those episodes when they aired. If this is true that tonight was the last Futurama rerun on Fox, then I guess I have to wait until the other evil bastards at Cartoon Network show it. Why they are evil bastards you say? Well, one thing they screw up Adult Swim line-up and a couple years back dump ReBoot like a bad habit. Well, who cares what I think. This message probably won't get though and a damn "Sorry, you may not post here" pink box of death will show. If it doesn't, then goodbye to all of you fellow Futurama fans! Not much is going on to Futurama so I departing but Futurama shall live on!
SlurmGuySep 7th 2003, 00:00
The Bastards! THE BASTARDS!!!

Asylum-FrySep 7th 2003, 00:00
WHAT THE HECK!?

I live in California and it's seven! WHERE IS FUTURAMA NOW, EH??? It's some people rolling in mud!

AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH I HATE FOX, I HATE FOOTBALL, FUCK THOSE FUCKING BASTARDS! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

*kills all the fox executives with her weapon of choice- sharp pencils and daggers*

I still don't feel better, but at least I saw the episode before... *sighs* wish the west coast was getting Futurama. Fox is just a bunch of evil bitches and bastards.

Thank you for your time, GotFuturama. I love venting...
BaronKrushaSep 7th 2003, 00:00
I'm in Oregon, and it just aired.
chumpbenderSep 7th 2003, 00:00
#17 you got football at 7? thats strange, my local station played futurama, and I dont think they even showed football at all. before futurama they showed king of the hill and that 70's show, and I think showed some other stupid show before that. And before futurama, during king of the hill I think, they showed a commercial for futurama! I was pretty surprised.

Season 5 WAS to air in Australia this week Tuesday night at 11.30pm which is bad enough... but now Channel 7 have taken it off ONCE AGAIN
wowSep 8th 2003, 00:00
to #15:

Reboot wasn't dropped. True, it was a meager "season 4," but Mainframe only planned to make exactly as many new episodes as were shown.
moonbus69Sep 8th 2003, 00:00
At least F@X showed on of the best eps for this last re-run.

I only wonder how many new fans recently got turned on to Futurama, as this has been the most consecutive Sunday airings of the show for... (ever?)

Thanks for being around, GotFuturama, and everyone postin' here!

Now, if that Futurama movie MAtt and Dave were considering just gets going...
DamitolSep 8th 2003, 00:00
Sigh - the *last* rerun...

Oh well - as someone said above, the full 72 kicks off in a couple of months on Cartoon Network. That, along with the "better win or the Emmys are fixed" Emmy for Jurassic Bark (and a possible Emmy nomination next year as well thanks to McSeason 5) and - depending on where you live - 1 or 2 more sets of DVDs being released in the coming months all mean that Futurama will continue to make news for a while.

Of course this was the one episode that I missed the first few minutes of (I started taping just before Leela tossed the coin to decide whether or not to look in the box) so I would have loved to have seen it rather than football, but it just gives me something else to look forward to.
SRMSep 8th 2003, 00:00
Screw Fox! If I wanted to watch some apes run around in the mud, I would subscribe to a Sports channel!

Well, at least now I can block Fox from my TV for good. As far as I'm concerned, that channel does not exist!
RyanSep 8th 2003, 00:00
Not only did it not air on the east coast, but my area Fox was PROMOTING it being on at 7, even showing clips of the episode, something I never saw once while the show was putting out the last new episodes. I think that speaks for itself in regards to Fox
AndrewSchmidtSep 8th 2003, 00:00
If CN were to somehow work with Groening and Cohen and create more merchandise and new episodes, i might have a heart attack. It would be the single greatest moment of my life thus far.
j_ohanleySep 8th 2003, 00:00
Someone tell me, is the Farnsworth Parabox eligable for an Emmy next next year? Probably not... but there's not too many episodes past that worth of a nomination.
DrMarvinMonroeSep 8th 2003, 00:00
I just received my fall preview TV Guide today. It's so sad not seeing FUTURAMA on the lineup grid. (At least Becker is still on, and not competing with THE SIMPSONS).

Damn you Gail Berman!
FutureFanSep 10th 2003, 00:00
# 21

Actually the plan was for a full 13 episodes of Reboot, so they giped the fans on that.

As for Fox, here they had a football postshow at 7:00 followed by Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I don't know why they
couldn't have just shown the Futurama episode instead of the postshow.

As for football, only if it's Michigan playing.
eltheOct 15th 2003, 00:43
Oh.. so how mush does making an episode cost? Million dollar you say?! I'll pay it, for God's sake, I will.
