Another Repeat On FOX

"In our darkest hour we can stand erect with proud, upthrust bosoms!"

What's that? Futurama on FOX?

According to zap2it's TV Guide, FOX is going to show a repeat of the McSeason5 episode "A Taste of Freedom" on Sunday 28th. However, it seems to be limited to the westcoast and mountain area due to NFL.
This coming Sunday, the 7pm spot is taken over by "Countdown to the Emmys" programming.

Good - the more FOX shows reruns, new fans will be born (and quickly move to Cartoon Network) and the greater the chance becomes that we will see some new Futurama goodness in our lifetime.

As to this episode - it's one that I haven't seen much since it was originally on, but the fact I'm laughing just reading the quotes page means I'll drag out the tape I made of it tonight (alas - no DVD for R1 until next year...).

"You can eat my dog, you can eat my truck, but you eat my flag and you're out of luck! She's waving proud around the world from Dallas to Fort Worth. Let me say it again: (honk! honk!) Don't mess with Earth!"

This will only be shown on the US west coast. Everyone else will get football.
ActionJacktionSep 18th 2003, 18:32
Actually, now that I've checked, it seems that those on Mountain Time will also get it. Central and east coast viewers are still screwed.

Checked it and added it to the news

Fox basicly needs Futurama. Its already out of their Line up, and ther new line-up is already offical now. So why are they showing futurama?
joeSep 19th 2003, 01:22
i bet they will just show 2 reruns of koth instead, it seems 2 b wut they like 2 do
MikeSmithSep 19th 2003, 04:03
Still haven't seen A Taste Of Freedom yet, and Fox still screwed up with that!

I don't live in the West Coast, so, I don't care about Joan & Melissa anyway!

Might as well wait till CN airing it!

The Seattle Fox affiliate has it on their schedule also. It's nice to live at the end of the continent. While the east coast gets their hurricanes and Football, we just get earth quakes and Futurama. And earthquakes only last a minute or so. :p

They said erect heh heh heh heh heh
KimberlySep 19th 2003, 07:47
They still have it listed on their site at http://www.fox.com/futurama/

Well, I checked into next Sunday and still no sign of anything good on Fox but an another "not-so current" movie. I figure it will be like this way until after the World Series are over(hopefully early, not drag on and on)in November.

It's great that FOX is airing an episode of Futurama, but FOX STILL SUCKS
NickLSep 21st 2003, 15:53
So Fox is only showing 1 episode of Futurama, or are they bringing back the reruns?
drzoidberg1981Sep 25th 2003, 03:12
To #9 I haven't seen a taste of freedom because of the idiots at fox and I think that are showing Futurama because the fox network fall lineup has their new lineup starting in November
and they are putting on Futurama until November then fox will put there stupid shows to replace Futurama.
BillSep 25th 2003, 17:22
Does anyone know roughly when CN or TBS will start airing the season 5 episodes? I have missed a lot of them (Including the one this week that only the Left Coast will see!)and it is killing me!
IcehousemanSep 26th 2003, 05:35
Ummm.....I don't see Futurama Sunday at 7:00. I only see (shudder) Something About Mary. Stinkin' Fox.
KimberlySep 26th 2003, 18:06
Fox sucks.

CN, how about working with Groening and Cohen to give us nice new Futurama episodes?
SRMSep 30th 2003, 17:22
I could care less about Football or Baseball. If Fox wants to be a Sports Channel, then get rid of all their entertainment shows and be a sports channel. If you want to be an Entertainment Channel then throw all that sports crap to Fox Sports and show some entertainment.

Oh, wait maybe that's it... Since they cancelled Futurama they don't have anymore entertainment programs to show.

Anyway, I can't wait until their new Sunday night lineup tanks and they can't figure out what went wrong. Maybe then they'll show some more Futurama reruns this time for the East Coast as well.
