Oh-my-god, those useless bums are going to air it.

$10 says they do to it what "Ten" has done to The Simpsons, and butcher it, and screen it at thier will so as to prolong the series as much as possible.

Season 5 has already started, Jurassic Bark was an amazing episode, and the Route of all Evil was funny, but it was on the DVD set that just got released... the day after it shows on T.V. Strange eh?

I was hoping that maybe 7 would put it back on at 10:30pm because Talking Footy & The Amazing Race had ended as of the upcoming week, but not to be :(

Channel 7 should of sold of the rights when they decided it didn't rate - I'm sure Channel 10 would of found a place instead of a Simpsons Repeat.

I've never owned a dog and Jurassic Bark brought me to tears.

BTW, if any Aussies don't want to miss Futurama if Seven change the time slot again, sign up at yourtv.com.au for a personal TV guide to your e-mail address.

Its good that its back, its been back for a few weeks. Although I really hate the time it is on at, I always end up forgeting to record it.

Yeah whats up with the crappy time slots? I recall Season 1 and 2 being on at 8 on Fridays a few years back.
MacPhistoSep 25th 2003, 14:50
The timing sucks but on the upside they dont butcher it to hell. The only problem is the seven watermark jeez asif they couldnt dump it after they lost the footy

Even if the newer episodes are cut down so much just to fit a couple minutes of some cheesy-ass local commericals (like the old Simpsons episodes), at least they are showing these episodes unlike Fox. I haven't checked into Cartoon Network to see when the newer episodes will be airing but Fox decides to preempt the entire "Animation Fun-Hour" Sunday line-up until November which pisses me off. Anyways I just not watch Fox period until November rolls around. Besides "ain't jack on" as far as anything new is concern except for South Park in October.

I remember, several years ago now, Futurama used to be on after 'Sabrina' each week, and I would always look forward to it... memories. :-)
Now, Futurama is followed by (another great show cancelled before it's time) 'The Lone Gunmen', which would be nice to look forward to , if it wasn't on so damned late. Don't they realise that people have school!? well, not me anymore, I might add. I had my last day of school on Wednesday!!!! YAY!!!! But I still have to sit the bloody HSC... Stupid forced institutionalisation... I'm goin' to fail anyway, i'm can't be stuffed studying.
:-)

hehe screw the HSC

yep i remember Futurama used to air on Friday nights after sabrina.. i used to turn off my phone and watch it with the volumn turned up.

ahh memories

now i just have them all on my computer. yep. all of them.

I purchased the Season 3 Boxed set at Chatswood HMV. Disks 1 & 4 appear to have a production fault. Both get stuck at the end of the copyright info and either won't play the 20th Century Fox logo or it plays back very jerky.
One DVD player I tried both disks on just stops at the end of the copyright info and won't get any further. the other DVD player JUST gets past all this and plays the menus. Programs on one layer are OK, the other layer won't play proper.
I've exchanged both DVDs and the replacements where exactly the same. I'd like to hear from anyone who purchases the boxed set what results they get.

PS Channel 7 seems to have bypassed Season 5 episode 1 in favour of some "making of " ad for some movie.

If there's a fault like that with multiple dvds failing on mulitple players, it's might be the same for the whole "batch". Try getting your money back and buy it elsewhere. I'll post the FOX HE customer line number on the main page.

Yes!!! Woo Hoo!! Finally I have seen the famous Jurassic Bark episode. Thankyou Ch7 for atleast putting this show on. You Have my blessing.
JayROct 8th 2003, 08:05
I contacted Fox who are now aware of the fault. They have promised to post me a replacement set as soon as a new batch arrives. Being polite generally pays off.

I would rather tread on a rusty nail than watch ANY Simpsons episode from Season 1 EVER AGAIN.

I would rather tread on a rusty nail than watch ANY episode of The Simpsons from Season 1 EVER AGAIN. One word: LAME.
thespiceweaselOct 14th 2003, 07:36
OK, OK.... sorry for the double post....
Anyone got any info on Futurama Season 4 release dates in Australia?
AaronOct 27th 2003, 03:17
futurama season 4 should be released in december, or so ive heard. Is it just me or is any one else sick to death of seven not putting the episodes on in any order. A few months ago the route of all evil aired then the following week an episode from season 4 aired and then the 30% iron chef aired. its bloody ridiculous if you ask me. at least they haven't axed it for no reason like channel nine did to micallef.am i right people.

FUTURAMA RETURNS!

After a few weeks off air because of the World Cup Rugbbish hightlights, Futurama will return 11:30pm Tuesday with "Less than Hero"

CraigDec 3rd 2003, 05:13
It would seem that Futurama has been removed for Australia's Channel 7 for the time being, probarly due to the summer non-ratings session.

It is no longer screening late Tuesday nights at 11:30pm. It hasn't been on air for the last 3 weeks and will not be airing this upcoming week.
