Can't get enough Futurama

Futurama Run On TBS Ends

As the schedule on top indicates, Futurama is no longer being aired on TBS Superstation. Their customer department confirmed to me that Futurama was a limited summer run and won't be running on their network anymore.
With most kids at school during Futurama's former TBS time slot, it would hardly make sense to keep it running. Bill Cosby and The Fresh Prince are going to take over from here.

Well that sucks for those of us who don't get cartoon network.

well it is fine by me, since I go to college. Maybe they should air episodes of Futurama, just on the weekends since CN doesn't

At least they still got Family Guy airing there.

I'm lucky because in my area I get to see King of the Hill and The Simpsons at 4PMC and at 6PMC weekdays. It's not Futurama but at least they show the good ol' episodes of these shows before ,well, their "weaker" ones that aired this past season.

I'm stil upset that neither (CN or TBS) showed "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" after finishing up production season 3 recently. I saw that episode once and I want to see it again.

Wait a second. They won't be airing them next summer? But I don't get CN...

What do they need to show 3 Roseannes for anyway?
fryfanSep 27th 2003, 08:06
Hey [-marc-] will CN begin to air the 16 episodes from the fifth season in production order this time around?
ArchdukeChoculaSep 27th 2003, 10:12
AIR IT AFTER SCHOOL THEN!

Superstation my ass.......

Even though this doesn't effect me, I don't get this. Futurama isn't a kids program, so why take it off just because the kids are back at school?
ElizabethSep 27th 2003, 15:57
At least TBS could air it at 4:00 or 4:30 for teenagers, not kids, after they get out of school. And if they don't want to do that, I guess UPN, COMEDY CENTRAL, or SCI-FI will pick it up instead.
EmperorTunaSep 27th 2003, 22:28
I just wish they would air it terrestially in the UK. Selfish dogs. Rarrr.
GirSep 28th 2003, 03:50
Futurama on Sci-Fi would rock

Rebel my little ones!

You know it makes sense for it not to be on TBS, at 2:00. It was a summer run. A good 50% of futurama fans were Kids. What it being a cartoon and all. And the other 50% were college students who were home for summer, or people who umemployed or whatever. you get the idea. Besides everyone has seen all five seasons and with the last two DVD sets comming out late 2003-Early 2004, people will spend less and less time watching it on TV. Unless CN decides to buy the rights from FOX so we can see season SIX, Futurama reruns don't have much of a future.

Yeah, just like that unknown show called "Star Trek" which ran for only 79 episodes. That show never had a prayer in syndication, so it's no surprise you never see anyone airing it today.</sarcasm>

I'm in Atlanta and TBS here NEVER aired Futurama this whole summer. It was always CHIPS taking up the Futurama and Family Guy time slots. I sent them e-mails on the TBS website but never got any responses. Not much point in seeking further action now.

Yea JeremyFein, if the Simpsons can stand the test of time, I think Futurama can too. I'm bored with the Simpsons. I'd rather watch Futurama anyday. The Simpsons hasn't really been any good the last 3 or 4 seasons. That's when Futurama was hitting it's prime.

C'mon FOX, bring the best show (next to Seinfeld) back to the airwaves!

It was super while it lasted...but I'm a student as well and it would've teared me up inside if I knew Futurama was running while I was in school.

I hope they can bring it back next summer. *sigh
