Can't get enough Futurama

McSeason 5 on CN in November

November will see a bit of a change in the Futurama programming on Cartoon Network. Going back to its 11PM time slot in November (currently 11:30), Futurama will jump from 2ACV09 (A Bicyclops Built For Two) on the 29th and 2ACV18 (The Honking) on the 30th of October to 3ACV12 (The Route of All Evil) on November 3rd. From there the remaining 4ACV episodes from FOX's McSeason 5 will be shown. With three episodes being skipped as it seems (those which FOX aired in McSeason 4, including the Star Trek one).
In addition, the 11:30PM Futurama episodes are rerun on Cartoon Network at 2:30AM now.

As of the end of October, six episodes will have been shown FIVE TIMES on CN (1ACV06 through 1ACV11).

Conversely, nine episodes will have been shown only TWO TIMES (2ACV10, 2ACV11, 3ACV01, 3ACV10, 3ACV16, 3ACV21, 4ACV02, 4ACV03, and 4ACV11). This includes the highly praised "Amazon Women in the Mood."

The jumping around has been inequitable, to say the least.

However, CN will smartly air "The Honking" out of order on Oct. 30, probably because of it's Halloween-ish feel.

It is about time. I have gotten so sick of Fox's bullshit that I stop watching Fox completely this month. Besides they put the Simpsons halloween specials in November now so there is no point to tune in. That is just dumb. It is like trying to sell halloween candy after halloween is long over, it just loses the magic or effect that was intended.

I thought it's the right thing for CN to do The Honking on the night before Halloween, with the Werecar! :)

Can hardly wait to see the entire Season 5. Since the final episode is on Thanksgiving Night, I'll be glad for that!

This is great news for Futurama fans, but I might refrain from watching them on CN as the Season 4 DVD is due out at the end of November. I think I'd rather wait a few weeks to preserve the pleasure of watching the episodes in order on the DVDs.

It makes sense.

Besides I can finally see the Route of all Evil Episode. I missed it when it was on Fox and I don't think I was ever shown again, as for Jurassic bark (Crappy Ending, But Great Episode). And The Taste of Freedom Episode kicked. Crimes of the Hot was the best........You know come to think of it Season 5 wasn't that bad.....Except for Bend Her........It was a Great Season.

Well I've Hear Rumors that CN is trying to Buy the rights from Fox and Start Season 6......Like in 2004/2005. Or a Futurama Movie.

Hey if Sci-fi was able to Buy MST3K from Comedy Central and Produce Season 8, 9 and 10. Why shouldn't CN try to buy the Rights from Fox and Start Seasons 6, 7 , 8, 9, 10, Ect.

ill field this question for #11:

because MST3K was not the property of Comedy Central. it's owned by Best Brains, Inc. when Comedy Central stopped ordering episodes, Best Brains tried to shop the show elsewhere, ending up at the Scifi Channel. They didn't have to buy the rights from anyone.

Futurama is FOX property though, so CN would pay FOX to make new episodes. But I think it's more legally complicated than that. FOX would have to be interested to make new episodes as well.

Based on what I've read previously, here and elsewhere, one reason Fox gave Futurama the shaft was that Fox DOESN'T own the show outright, so out of spite they jerked Groening around and kept shifting the timeslot like mad.

*inser ... hoicehere* Fox.

Well I don't know where else to complain, but I live in NYC.

The Fourth Game between the Yankees and Cubs was cancelled because of rain.

So around 7:30 FOX decides to have a 15 minute conversation about how the game is cancelled because of rain.

around 7:45 FOX decides to put on a Futurama episode.

They show the last 15 minutes of the Series Finale.....Then at eight decide to show VARisty Blues..........Varisty Blues!!!!! ... !!!!!!!!!!

FOX you're slowly and surely pissing me off.
