i noticed on the special features list, there was something called demo songs which hadn't been listed before. so something exras is a nice suprise, i should hope that its the reason for the week delay

Sorry, the demo songs didn't make it in the end as far as I know. I guess the ad was designed before the discs were finished.

i loved the trailer it not only fuels my love for Futurama, but it fuels my hatred to FOX for cancelling the show and making this the final DVD box set.

How come the UK gets access to the DVD first and people in America have to wait a year for the DVD to be in stores? Man, times like this I wish I lived in UK.

It's nice that the makers of the trailer snuck in the "woo! closure!" comment from the of 300BB. A fitting end to the trailer, even if it did bring a tear to my eye.

Are you saying that DVD players in the UK are different than American DVD players? Why is that?

It's all to do with the DVD Regions. North America is Region 1, and so North American DVD players can only play Region 1 encoded discs.

The UK is in Europe, which is Region 2, and so our DVD players play Region 2 encoded discs.

It's all so they can stagger the release of a DVD across the world, and yes, it's annoying and evil.

On the plus side, apprently the Region 1 Season 3 set will include newly recorded lines of dialogue on the menu screens, something us Region 2ers didn't get. So there is a slight bonus for waiting :)


And you can get a region-free dvd player that will play any region, or "hack" some normal dvd players.

There's something I don't understand... There are 5 seasons of futurama no??? why they say taht the season 4 will be the last one on DVD?

There are only 4 "real" seasons. It's just that FOX chopped them into 5 through postponing it so much. The 5 FOX ones are also known as McSeasons.

WOOHOO! I can't wait until I can pick these up! :)

Any word on the future of Futurama yet? I miss it and need new episodes. I want to know if Leela and Fry get serious. I need to know if Mom succeeds in her quest for world domination. I need to know if Zap finally blows himself up. I need to know if Kif and Amy finally get married. There are so many questions which need answers!

i want to know what Nibbler meant when he said Leela was "the other" in "The Why In Fry"
Will Morbo finally invade earth? Will Zoidberg ever be respected? Will Nixon ever be kicked out of office? Will bender have his shiny metal ass back?

We fans need to know!

Anyone know if there is a release date for Season 4 in Australia yet?

I've stopped watching Futurama on the local tv station, so that I can enjoy the DVD episodes as "new". Well its on at 11:30pm and often gets dropped at the moment for football or "making of" (ie; a 20 minute ad), "special" for the lastest "blockbuster" movie.
Last boxed set. Very sad.

Love that ad. only if they replacing Zoidberg with Bender.

I look forward to 1006 or so when its availlable in the US :p
