Can't get enough Futurama
In Color

Best wishes for 2004!

Best wishes for 2004 from the entire Can't Get Enough Futurama team. I hope we will have another great year ahead of us and may the futurama community live on. Also some good news for the Canadian visitors:
Futurama, the series People magazine called "clever, irreverent and cutting edge" has found a new home on TELETOON, airing Saturdays and Sundays at 9:00 p.m. beginning January 10, 2004. Teletoon will broadcast all 72 episodes of Futurama's five season run, big news to the sci-fi spoof's legions of die-hard fans. Also a television industry favourite, Futurama received a 2003 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program.
Together with Family Guy (Another FOX victim) it will their strongest prime time line up.

Good. Though I always knew that it was only a mater of time before teletoon started airing futurama. That piece of news doesn't come as a surprise to me.

But does that mean that it'll be aired on french teletoon as well? Personally I hate translations but on the other hand it couldn't be a bad thing considering that most of my friends don't even know Futurama.

JerryJan 2nd 2004, 03:11
I will say happy stuff and think happy things. Like thinking that they will release seasons 3 and 4 in region 1 this year.
FryJan 2nd 2004, 15:54
If Adultswim ges enough money from DVD sales, they might make new episodes.....so long as they don't suck.
RavenJan 2nd 2004, 17:43
thats quite possible, theylle have to get the rights to it first from fox
KevinJan 2nd 2004, 17:48
Ha ha! I heard this when they started with the commercials. Commercials! For Futurama! It's like half a dream come true, since they're not actually making new ones. Next best thing.
fryfanJan 2nd 2004, 19:33
I've heard that Futurama hasn't been doing well on DVD sales? And since Family Guy sales have been doing well, it is being considered be brought back. Is this true?
JonaDerksJan 2nd 2004, 20:08
I don't know about the sales of the DVD, but in Holland Futurama isn't that popular but maybe that's why it's still funny.
collinJan 2nd 2004, 20:25

[SufferingSoul]Jan 3rd 2004, 23:25
''Blame Canada''
F*cking bastards! It would be mroe like 'Blame Damn US'.
Your Pro-American style is pissing me off. I'm just waiting for the days that the US empire will fall off.
Rome died. Us will died too...soon enough.
Besides those political factors, I would like to say that FUTURAMA is very nice, and it's not very cool that the 3rd ans 4th season aren't on DVD for the area 1.
Anyway.
JonJan 4th 2004, 07:08
you bunch of fucking retards, 'blame canada' is from south park. they made an entire movie off of it. the US vs CAN. So quit flaming or I'll delete your fucking posts, fuck fuck fuck!

Also, who said futurama's dvd sales werent doing well? they seem to be doing very well. maybe not AS WELL as family guy, but still very well.
JohnJacksonJan 4th 2004, 07:17
Attn. all American Jr. people "Canadians"
Just to let The people of American Jr. know you will be concuerd just as we will concuer the rest of this planet. dont worry we will let you all live under a iron fist.

And Futurama will be put back on the air
blackhaloJan 4th 2004, 09:44
I love how Yanks expect to conquer the world without proper spelling. What's with this "color" business as well? There's supposed to be a "u" in there somewhere.

In other news, I get Teletoon. Huzzah!
[SufferingSoul]Jan 4th 2004, 19:26
Rome died. Us will died too...soon enough.
To ''Jon'' - - - Delete me! I just don't care.
If you're one of those Pro-Americans, It would be a JOY to be rejected by your stupid person.
-Over-!
JonJan 4th 2004, 19:48
you're a retard :p I never said or implied I was a 'pro-american', so stop trying to pick fights.
PaulJan 4th 2004, 21:59
I HATE FOX, they made me cry :(
[SufferingSoul]Jan 5th 2004, 05:36
Anyway! You're a lost cause.
So 'ok' i'll stop ''Trying to pick fights'', there's nothing to do with it in any ways.

-Why The 4th season isn't code in Area 1 in DVD ?
futuramaMADJan 5th 2004, 18:02
has futurama been selin?
BrainSluggoJan 6th 2004, 09:16
Selling very well. Sold MAD in Europe, by the way. Sales may be hurt in the US because so many fans didn't want to wait and bought Region 2. (Spare me any lectures; buy it here, buy it there, in the end all that matters is that it. Gets. Bought. Hell, look how long "Critic" fans had to wait for the US DVD release!)

The NY Times has a new article that says: FOX is on the ropes--and desperate for a new smash hit in freash phony-reality poop "My Big Fat Obnoxious Booger-Eating Pedophile Fiancee Who Doesn't Wipe His Arse Or Shower."

(*deep breath*)

AHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAA!

Yes, I'm sure that the twice-saved and twice-cancelled "Family Guy" will save FOX! Not to mention falling back on Matt Groening...oh, wait, FOX's Gail Berman kinda burned THAT bridge. Whoops.

I don't remember where I read it--maybe it was here at CGEF!--but "Futurama" and "Guy" on Cartoon Network are now kicking late night cable TV's ass all around the room.

(*deep breath*)

AHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAA!
JoeJan 11th 2004, 01:15
Yea, I heard about that on Teletoon while watching Family Guy. ATM its great to live in canada. But for you americans and others out there u can always buy the dvds (I currently have volume 1 and 2. 3 and 4 I will get once I have the money :D
SpleeJan 24th 2004, 19:01
Very cool. Family Guy and Futurama together is bliss. Best hour of TV possible. They compliment each other so well- Family Guy makes you laugh hard and long and Futurama is so stylishly smiley.

This news excites me: Teletoon is now officially the most awesome station. UnderGRADS and Clone High were damn good- but now FG and Futurama too?

That's some high quality television.

And 'Blame Canada' from South Park is great, because on top of being able to make fun of Canadians with it openly, Parker and Stone use it satirically to make fun of Americans in actuality. (See: 'We must begin to make a fuss before somebody thinks of blaming us') Everyone gets made fun of. Everyone wins.

Splee.
