Can't get enough Futurama
In Color

And Back Again

We mostly completed a server move this morning which caused a few hours of outage. Sorry for that.

There are a few things that don't yet work to their fullest.

Capsule submissions and Guestbook entries from the past month didn't make it here. To compensate, the Games, Desktop and Multimedia sections got a few sections back which were too stressful for the previous server.

If you find anything else not working, use the comments for this entry.

*UPDATE* submit, istory, fanart @gotfuturama.com have been activated, you can send in your submits to those emails. --Andie

Good to see one of my fav sites back! Glad to hear Futurama beat Banzai in the ratings, despite Banzai having a later / better time slot.

Anyone else have a hard time trying to find the Futurama game in stores? I went to about 10 stores before I found that Frys Electronics had it. Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, and lots more still don't have it to this day! It's pretty sad that they aren't stocking it, at Best Buy they are almost sold out of Season 2 DVDs, so I am sure the game would have sold at least a few copies.

Hello just thought people might like to know that Lauren Tom(Amy Wong, Mrs. Wong) was on monk(awesome show) playing a chinese dry cleaning lady. Check it out if you get the chance the series airs on usa network and the episode title is "Mr. Monk and the twelth(sic) man".

fox.com says last week's banzai was its "season finale"
alittlegirlAug 24th 2003, 00:00
I hope FOX won't air Banzai re-runs.

Yay, Futurama for an hour?! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a hard time finding the game also. My usual gaming stores (Best Buy and Walmart) didn't have it. It's not even on bestbuy.com

I found it at EB.

Man that was a scary downtime week or so. I glad this website is back so I can comment my thoughts on Futurama again. Banzai cancelled is the best news I heard in a while. To top it off a bonus episode of Futurama in its place! Maybe Fox is starting to realize their mistakes. If so, then who knows what good things will come if Fox would just be a little smarter than before.

So we get a better timeslot now...

Fox showing reruns to replace a show that sucks. Quite insulting considering the way they treated the show, but still, they chose Futurama while they could have put more reruns of the simpsons or worse, of king of the hill. Guess it's the smartest move we can expect from stupid Fox; must be that Gail Berman is still on vacation.

After Simpsons on Sunday night I don't watch any more Fox shows, but then again, I don't watch any shows on the other networks so I guess you could say I watch Fox the most.

I'm not crazy about Fox programming or the way they treated Futurama, but hey, lighten up people. After all, they brought this show to us and how many of the other "major" networks would've given this show half a chance? How many animated shows are on the other "major" networks? Say what you want about Fox (and most of it is true) but they've really promoted the idea of animation for adults. Most of the other animated shows didn't last as long as Futurama, so be thankful we got to see as much as we did and be hopeful maybe someday we'll get to see more.

FarnsieAug 25th 2003, 00:00
Why was the site down? I don't see any new additions or graphical improvements, so what was the reason?
chumpbenderAug 26th 2003, 00:00
I for one was hoping the site wouldn't change it's look when it came back. I think the way it is now is great, and there is no room for improvement that I can think of.

#10 I don't know where you have been but it's been a long time since Fox cared anything about Animation for Adults. The Simpsons started when Fox was truly an Edgy, New Wave type network. Since then several Management changes have happened and they have become as boring as the original three networks.

The only reason that the Simpsons is still on is because the fanbase and revenue is such that they wouldn't dare touch it. Why KOTH is still on is beyond me. I think Murdoch must like it or something because heaven knows, nobady else does.

If Fox cared about the Sunday Animation block, they wouldn't have jerked it around cramming Futurama into a crappy 7:00 timeslot that is constantly pre-empted. And speaking of pre-emptions let's not forget that the Season Premieres of all the Sunday night shows gets pushed to November so they can show the crappy Baseball and Football games. I remember Fox's first season when they in the Summer with new shows to beat the competition.

Now Fox has become a formula network. Find the fad of the hour and run with it until it dies. That's why we keep seeing garbage like Reality Shows and American Idle. I can't wait until the reality genre is gone.

Guess What! FOX is holding a contest named Pitch-O-Rama in which people 18 and older could make their own animated series and pitch it to the network.

ICWienerAug 28th 2003, 00:00
#14 How many other animated shows have you seen on major network tv in the past 5 years and what network were they on?

I don't like Fox programming (or other networks either) any more than you but be glad for what you got. Would this show have ever been on CBS?

I don't know (or care for that matter) where you've been but I'd say the network that has brought us all of the animated shows for the last several years must be the most interested in animation for adults. No matter how much we hate Fox you have to admit they've brought us alot of shows that would've never gotten a chance with the "Big Three"

I don't see any problems as of yet, except for the fact my Xmas and Amy fanfics I sent aren't on your fanfiction section, but I know any day you'll have the time to do it and all Futurama fans will be able to read. Also, the air times of Futurama are wrong. Cartoon Network airs Futurama at 11:30pm and 2:30am now.

As you see, we have also reactivated some areas, like CGEF Games, containing many of my own made games ;)

I'm having problems getting episode sound clips that are 100 kb or more - I'm only getting about 12 kb of them.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Sorry.
