I hope these DVD's will be available in Region One. I'd also like to see some more "themed" Simpson episodes too (especially because of the fact there are 300+ episodes.)

How long before Fox execs swallow their pride and admit they goofed when they cancelled^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H, er, I mean, did not order more episodes of Futurama?

I just wonder which episodes of the first and the second season of Futurama will be on the DVD. And..I think Fox didn't order any other epidodes of Futurama.
Fox sucks so much, it's awful. It's great that the Simpsons ans Futurama makes fun of them.

The epsisodes from Season One Should be: Space Pilot 3000, Series Has Landed, and ?. Season Two should be a Head in the Polls, Why Must I Be a Crustaecean in Love?, ummm, Xmas Story, and Bender Gets Made. Crustaecean and Head in the Polls are two of the best.

So, almost all the episodes lol! hihi :p

They should not be allowed to sell futurama stuff any more unless they play more episodes i don't think they have the right to do that. people at FOX are A-Holes.

I know you didn't say anything about 3rd, 4th or 5th seasons but here are the episodes I think they should have on a DVD:

The Day the Earth Stood Stupid
Roswell that Ends Well
Jurassic Bark
The Why of Fry

Just a reminder: there I spoke my mind is not an episode, I was just saying that because these 4 great episodes altogether make the best storyline ever. They all explain WHY Fry came to the future, and I think that they are the best episodes ever! (Although I never have seen the Day the Earth Stood Stupid)

What are you talking about?

I don't know the exact nature of FOX's relationship with the creators of Futurama, but chances are that one of the following is true:

1. FOX purchased these episodes from the creators as they were produced, and owns them in toto, including distribution rights. That means they can do any damn thing they please with them.

2. Alternatively, the creators of Futurama may still own the distribution rights, but are licensing the episodes to FOX for DVD distribution. Which means they're making a profit from it, even though FOX is doing the distribution.

Whichever one is happening, the show's creators surely signed a contract agreeing to it. What about this isn't right?

Yes, FOX definitely sucks, but mainly because of their lowest-common-denominator programming (aside from Simpsons and Futurama, of course) and their wretched news coverage.

Thanks for the tip, but this is one of my 'disposable' email addresses. If I start getting spam, the email addy goes into the bitbucket then I pick another anime name for WWWboards, etc. :)

I dont like this idea. Although its great for people who dont (for some reason) want to buy the season sets, its just a Futurama DVD that I (and other fans whom own the DVDs out now) cannot buy.

If you think about it... these singles will probably cost 15-20 bucks... might as well buy a whole season for 40-50 or maybe even less. right?

NOT COOL FOX, "They have announced the release of TV Singles, single-disc releases featuring some of the best episodes from their POPULAR TV series. Futurama being one of them" then dont cancl it damn it.
Besides that i think it's a cool idea.

I think for box sets they should put the episodes of one storyline onto the disc.

Roswell That Ends Well
The Why of Fry

They all follow the brain storyline. Before you ask about RTEW, in the episode he became his own Granpa causing the delta brain wave to go.
