No Annie For Futurama

According to Variety, the two Annie categories Futurama was nominated for went to its sibling show "The Simpsons".

For "Music in an Animated Television Production", Ken Keeler's song from "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" was beaten by a song from The Simpsons "Dude, Where's My Ranch" - written by Ken Keeler et al.

In "Writing in an Animated Television Production" Patric Verrone's Futurama episode "The Sting" had to bow to The Simpsons "Three Gays of the Condo" in which Homer shares rooms with said guys after getting in trouble with Marge again. This is the second time that episode beat a Futuarma one and to be honest... I didn't think "Three Gays" was that great compared to the first Simpsons episode with a gay theme.

The upcoming WGA awards will again pit "The Sting" against Simpsons episodes. So let's hope I don't have to rant again.

Why the hell would people pick a homo episode over an emotional one? THEY must be gay!! Let's hope Futurama will win next time.

Yeah the Sting was emotional.........Come to think of it it was the Best Futurama episode of Season Four next to Obestoutly Fabolous........And Dude where's my ranch lost to the Opera Song? Still living proof that fox has no culture hence the crappy reality shows.

Dude seriously, WTF? I can understand how someone can like "3 gays of the condo", better than "Jurassic Bark" (Though I liked JB better), but they liked it better than "The Sting"?!? I guess Weird Al has alot of pull at the Annies.

These days, it seems if it has 'gay' in it, it must be good. The condo episode was lame for the Simpsons.

Futurama won an Annie or two last year, plus a WGA award. It looks like none of them want to give a canned show some recognition this year.

Who are these people who vote for these awards anyway? They obviously have no taste, and no brains. Three Gays of the Condo was a fair Simpsons episode and not worthy of an award. The Gay epsiode they did a few seasons back was much more relevant, with a better moral. It seems they only go for shocking these days. Maybe they should have put Bend Her up for the award and they would have won.

Sigh, at least the award went to the Simpsons and not those other POS nominees like KOTH.

Three Gays of the Condo suck!

THEY WROTE THE EPISODE JUST SO HOMER KISSES A GUY! That doesn't deserve an award.

The only reason why the episode won was because the Annies are gay! (Pun intended, duh)

That is a travesty. That episode was criminally bad, to even compare it to futurama makes my stomach turn.

Bah! They must've voted for Three Gays of the Condo because they were affraid of being accused of dicriminating against gays if they hadn't. Now that they've rewarded that Homer Gay Simpson episode what is it gonna be next? It's deplorable.

First off Gentle Jerkwad, I have no idea whatsoever what PEEL is, don't want to know, and don't care. I also have no idea what the "No Homers Club" is. I'm assuming it has something to do with Simpsons and that episode where the children wouldn't let 2 Homers join their club.

I however, have been posting to this board for months as El Zilcho and have seen no one else using that name until you showed up. I read most comments and would've noticed that.
