Box Set Offers in the UK

Amazon in the UK currently got a DVD boxset offer with 40% or more off of several sets. Among these are Futurama Season 1, Season 2 and Season 3 for £22 each. The normal price is set at £40.

If you can wait a whole month, Play.com is taking preorders for a promotional version of all 4 sets for £15.99 each.

futurama season three in canada will cost 57.99, with tax in british columbia it is $66.40 thats a future shop, know where it is cheeper (not online)

They're currently selling ALL 4 seasons of futurama on at 15.99 pounds each.
the store says it's a promotional version, which will be released on 03/29/04.

Seasons 1,2,3 have been cut to $39 (i think) AUD in most major australian retailers

I know play.com do promotional versions of the Friends boxsets, which just have the episodes, about 8 to a disc, with no special features at all but are much cheaper than the full boxset.

These Futurama promotional sets seem to have all the extras though...

Guess someone will need to buy one and report back on what the differece is.

There wont be a difference with what is included on the box sets in the promotion in regards to the full price ones. They have done this promotion with the Fox box sets b4. I got my season1 box set many moons ago during the last promo and everything is included. I think Play.com normally state if the sets are play.com exclusives.

The "cost" (to retailers) I have listed at work is $38.49 (the same as Futurama Vol.2, Simpsons Vols.2&3 and Family Guy vols.1&2), so in Canada, Futurama Season 3 will likely retail for a low 40s price to begin with.

By the way, the $57.99 that FRinGes has quoted from futureshop.ca is only a suggested retail price. As with any new product there will be a sale price in effect upon its release.

You won't be paying the full retail price for something like this for at least a year.
