Can't get enough Futurama
In Color

Those crazy australians!

Imagine running into this original fellah when driving through your country Australian town. That's what happened to Darren, and he was kind enough to take a picture of it for us. If you are crazy enough to futurama'ize parts of your house, don't hesitate to email me the result

KazzahdraneApr 29th 2004, 08:34
That's one sweet letter box. Have to be happy with anyone being able to open it though, doesn't look very secure. Now, if you put a ray gun in his other hand...
SlackJawedMoronApr 29th 2004, 15:29
And this is why Australia owns you all. Bow down now before our rampaging kangeroos rend you all asunder. BOW!
MrWisdomApr 29th 2004, 18:03
Sack jawed moron is an appropriate name for an idiot like you. True Australians - such as myself can appreciate what a fan has done to enrich his life. I am a huge fan of Futurama - and an Australian - and while I don't go to those lengths to show I love the show - I can understand who does.
SlackJawedMoronApr 29th 2004, 18:11
Lad, you are a tosser. I am quite fond of my country, and of this letter box. You appear to be looking for subtexts that aren't there. You are an idiot, and I hate to share the same country as you. Please die.
KazzahdraneApr 29th 2004, 20:35
I noticed absolutely no subtext in SJM's message....someone's just looking for trouble, and that makes you an idiot, and therefore not a huge fan of Futurama, or it would have made you smarter :P
knowsfordsApr 30th 2004, 00:12
I'm Australian, I'm not from around here!!! loook at my craaaazy passport!
calculonApr 30th 2004, 10:37
pah, wait until i built an angry-dome on the top of my grannys house in germany... ;P
Billyboy418Apr 30th 2004, 10:44
Yay go Australia! We rock! BTW anyone know exactly where in Australia this is?
MattmanApr 30th 2004, 11:48
That's tops. Being a true blue Aussie myself... and a huge Futurama fan.. it only takes an Aussie to invent a letterbox like that.. just like the Hills Hoist, Victa Lawnmower etc...

I am going to do the same thing to my letterbox now in tribute.

(when I finished those pretty big beers that yanks hear about, I will hack away at it with a knifey/spooney)
CheesebarronApr 30th 2004, 13:27
Yeah hahaha lol.....

GO aussie

GO TIGER!

do it for the diggers!
AlexApr 30th 2004, 13:30

catindisguiseMay 1st 2004, 02:38

KazzahdraneMay 2nd 2004, 20:46
#25, no I live in the Northern Hemisphere. You know, the one with all the wars :(
ghMay 2nd 2004, 22:34
Nice letterbox, a true futurama fan :D
A 'Planet Express delivery' crate would also make a nice letterbox

#25
No, I'm from Denmark
FRinGesMay 2nd 2004, 23:14
!!!Canadian!!! its a great place to live, all of us canadians like australians, infact my parents got married there.
TheDrainpipeMay 3rd 2004, 03:58
Is everyone here Australian? Well, I guess I am, in the sense that I've been living in Oz for the last 18 years...and by "Oz," I mean Australia, and NOT the Oswald Maximum Security Correctional Facility.

Ooops, I forgot, this is a Futurama website. Gotta separate my fandoms...But yeah, I'm an Aussie.
RionMay 3rd 2004, 09:18
I am also a (semi) proud Australian, though I am pissed that they aren't showing new episodes. I WOULD HAVE STAYED UP TILL 12:00, BUT INSTEAD THEY DECIDED TO CHANGE IT TO SOME CRAPPY FOOTBALL SHOW! and it was only three episodes left!
Oh well I guess there is still KOTH to cheer me up.
calculonMay 3rd 2004, 10:28
pretty ql, how many different nations are represented on this page :D
American, Canadian, Australian, German, Denmarks... There must be more... What about Englishman?
awsomeexpressMay 3rd 2004, 12:30
tru i havnt seen any englishman here yet
LUkeMay 3rd 2004, 12:46
SWEET i like it i think it might be able to go into production lol nice your a true futurama fan HAHAHAHAHA
DannyMay 3rd 2004, 13:58
Yeah I'm an Aussie, and I'm totally pissed at Channel 7 for screwing with Futurama and Family Guy, putting them on at like, 1:30 at night.
MattmanMay 3rd 2004, 14:01
Yeah - channel 7 were arseholes and didn't finish the season. Though they did show them out of order. Last year they played The Star Trek episode as part of season 3 even though it is part of the last season. (or as the R4 Dvd box sets go).

I have all the box sets now so channel 7 Australia can go bite my shiny metal ass...
KegMay 3rd 2004, 14:07
Ah, who cares about englishmen. I'm a proud scotsman. Good variety o different people tho.
awesomeexpressMay 3rd 2004, 14:27
yeah they need 2 start showing futurama on cartoon network in australia id b really happy then as long as they dont show it at the same time as family guy is on comedy channel. id still watch futurama but id rather see both
philMay 3rd 2004, 15:42
1 sassenach reporting in
FuturamaussieMay 4th 2004, 08:12
See I told you that Australians down here love the show and this is proof. (also great work on the letterbox mate :)
trentMay 4th 2004, 09:04
it suck channel 7 shows king of the hill instead of futurama
SlackJawedMoronMay 4th 2004, 10:01
It REALLY sucks that Channerl 7 haven't showed the last two episodes... the S4 DVD's are out, but still those last two eps elude those who don't want to pay for the show... so, er, go buy it.
ScottOMay 4th 2004, 17:48
I just wanted to post the 44th post on this rediculous topic. People are starved for Futurama news, huh?
alapaloozaMay 5th 2004, 02:23
do you aussi's and other country's get new episodes, like after the divil's hands...
SlackJawedMoronMay 5th 2004, 02:59
#45
er... no. No one does. Devil's Hand's hasn't even been shown here.

And #44. Yes. Yes we are. :)
HelperMay 5th 2004, 21:19
poor bender looks kind of sad there, not that I don't like it. I think tv is past its prime, with all these reality shows flooding the airwaves. make a grown man weep.
"Less reality, more fantasy!"
LittleJimmyMay 6th 2004, 02:15
Being Australian, I can understand how this guy feels about Bender, I mean Benders just a robotic version of an Australian, drunk, violent, walking around naked, dreaming of killing all humans. He's our idol.
theone3May 8th 2004, 07:42
exactly jimmy.

Thank God for fox8!
MrIdiotMay 8th 2004, 11:51
its a little woman. the '9' is the hair the '8' is eyes and the '7' is the mouth
piranhaMay 8th 2004, 16:32
I think i see some titties and spread legs in #21 I missed all but one episode of futurama when 7 was screening.. hey anyone know which episode had that robot with the knife who keeps calling fry red and trying to stick him?

RSOLEJun 10th 2004, 04:26
I love it give me one
EoNJun 12th 2004, 06:04
Yep... Thats us aussies alright... always turning our letterboxes into animated robots...

But I must admit, it does PROVE without any trace of a doubt that Australia is far superior to any other country in the world when it comes to humour, Futurama, and letter box robots.
AmandaJun 16th 2004, 06:30
aussies have a great sense of humour, as witnessed by this and a variety of letterboxes around this country.

As to security, being near a country town is great, we leave cars unlocked and keys in the ignition.

Alas with tv stations being a mix and match, we rarely get the shows aired in the city, like futurama, and they never air at the listed time
mrimmyownegranpaJun 20th 2004, 08:14
as an aussie i think its very good old chap

PeterWilsonAug 25th 2004, 04:11

PeterWilsonAug 25th 2004, 04:17
