Can't get enough Futurama

Voice Artists at Work

"DarkMidnight4k" sent me a link to a 20 minute radio interview with Futurama voice actor Billy West. Got quite some talk about Futurama, too. So tune in.

Also, "Minhdzuy" tipped me off on John 'Bender' Dimaggio's newest video game appearance: Our lovable rascal is said to be Rhino on Spider Man 2. If anyone found a site with a trailer where you can hear him, drop me a mail

Neat, I'm looking forward to seeing him in Spider Man 2, but my computer is to slow to see that radio clip, o well...

I am assuming Spiderman 2 the video game, since Rhino was not in the film...

Well I listened to Billy West Interview, and The Thino Voice was Pitch Perfect.

John Dimaggio was voicing the guards in "The Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape From Butcherbay" as well. He did an exceptionaly great job in that game. Way more work than Spiderman 2.

Also saw Billy West was one of the "commentators" on VH1's "I Love the 90's"... of course he was identified as Billy West - Ren & Stimpy

Darn, my new computer hasn't got Real Media so I can't listen to that clip (yet).

On the subject of Spider-Man - and this is me in useless geek trivia mode - on those M&M adverts, Billy West is the voice of the Red M&M, and the Yellow M&M is voiced by J.K. Simmons, who played J. Jonah Jameson in both Spidey movies.

Yea, he was Rhino in the Spiderman 2 video game, I knew the voice sounded familiar so I checked the book that came with the game...sure enough, John Dimmagio.

Billy was on The David Lawrence Show a few weeks ago. You can download a copy of the show for 25 cents at Was pretty good.

Saw John DiMaggio on some crime show a few weeks ago as a thug. I don't watch those shows, but my wife does. My head perked up from my book when I heard his voice. Checked the credits at the end and it was indeed him.

(I don't remember what show it was)

I listened to the interview on another site. I thought he was really funny. And I saw him last on on VH1. Glad to see he's getting around!

I saw him on I love the 90's and I was SO excited! He is really funny! He has only been doing impressions so far. He was on for a while for the Ren and Stimpy show. I hope they put him on again for 1999 for Futurama!

I can't hear that interview. This computer is kinda old.

YAY BILLY WEST!

I beat up Rhino in the Spiderman 2 videogame yesterday, top work by Mr DiMaggio. Phil LaMarr was also in Pulp Fiction- he got shot in the face and John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson had to clean his brains off of their car!
FuturamaFreakJul 21st 2004, 04:14
There's also a Futurama reference somewhere in the game. While beating one of Mysterio's minions in his apartmanet, I heard Spiderman utter "We're gonna turn it up a notch...BAM!" (Not an exact quote, but close enough) I'm not sure if he says it anywhere else, or if there are any other Futurama references tucked away in the game.
SlackJawedMoronJul 21st 2004, 15:48
100 to 1 that's a reference to Emeral(sp?), the TV cheif upon whom Elzar is based, not Elzar.
