Funny, isn't it? How everybody seems to still want a piece of this "failed" little show?
ShadowSep 18th 2004, 10:53
Its good news though. It shows that other networks are paying for the show, which means more money, which means more Futurama.
AndrewMSep 18th 2004, 13:15
This is a very good sign that the show is popular enough to come back. Anyway these are the guys showing another failed show, Family guy
ShadowSep 18th 2004, 13:18
Even better, thats another bonus. Futurama might come back.
BadBass12Sep 18th 2004, 15:30
It's kinda better! but i just wished they had Futurama way earlier. I'm glad i got a Dish PVR so i can recorded the episodes. But this is great cause maybe other stations will see it on Tbs and maybe see if they could it on theres!
I would think that Spike T.V. would want to have it on their station cause Futurama has stuff that guys watch on Spike, sex, beer, humor, and other stuff that men and women like.I'm guessing that sometime we are going to have more of Futurama!!!! I hope!!
BenDeRSep 18th 2004, 15:34
Oh yeah nice , but I already saw all episodes in french so ... lol
DerachiSep 18th 2004, 15:40
to correct AndrewM, Family Guy didn't fail. It's coming back, so lets keep our hopes up that futurama will too!
thatguySep 18th 2004, 16:29
aren't tbs and cartoon network both owned by turner broadcasting?
onthefritzSep 18th 2004, 17:23
BadBass12, dont record the shows, buy the dvd's. more dvd sales helps our chances of the show coming back. thats one reason theyre bringing back family guy: high dvd sales.
LoveForFrySep 18th 2004, 17:47
Ive been waiting for tbs to show futurama since they started showing family guy, and now one of my many dreams has come true.
RyanSep 18th 2004, 18:06
^^^
Of course, TBS aired Futurama and Family Guy back-to-back in the afternoons two summers ago (and plugged the heck out of the late-nite CN screenings). They dropped it in the fall when the kiddies went back to school.

It's good to see it back, albeit really late at night once a week. It's a smart move for TBS to capitalize on the phenomenon of Adult Swim by airing a late-night comedy block on the one night [as] doesn't air. It would be nice for more regular screenings on TBS (which, like CN, is owned by Time Warner).
personSep 18th 2004, 21:24
pretty cool TBS is doing it once a week, but it's so much later than CN, so I'd rather watch it there, 5 times a week :)
LeelaLoverSep 18th 2004, 22:08
What time will they air it? (Pacific time zone please.)
DoMSep 18th 2004, 22:34
It would be very nice if Futurama wold come back. But still, I find the last episodes a little less funny or particular than the others, like the first one...
If 'F' might come back, I hope it will be nice ass the first one...
:-)
P.S- Hang On for the GREAT! Futurama site.
RichardSep 19th 2004, 10:32
What does that mean "They will not show new episodes though?"

Aren't all Futurama episodes "old?"
BenDeRSep 19th 2004, 16:42
it means there's not new episode produced , they will just show the old episodes
ChrisSep 19th 2004, 17:33
I just wish they showed more Futurama and at a earlier time. Right now they are scheduled to be shown at 1:45am!!!
Bisected8Sep 19th 2004, 17:36
I know how to get more episodes of Futurama; send threatning letters to Fox.
DoMSep 19th 2004, 20:10
I don't think Sending threatning letters to Fox will do something...
It may be pessimist but...I think it's sad but unfortunatly true.
AndrewMSep 19th 2004, 20:30
I don't know what TBS is doing. A lot of futurama fans are still in school, college or otherwise, so it probably won't be popular for people going the next day. And plus, less people watching means less of a chance of picking up new episodes.
JeffySep 19th 2004, 20:37
There is a campaign going to get FOX's attention and hopefully get Futurama back. Here's the website:

ssfuturama.wz.cz/AFF/faq.php

kyleSep 19th 2004, 20:49
the internet campaign's aren't going to be what brings futurama back, for several reasons, including:

1) There's not one centralized campaign. There's quite a few petitons, and about a hundred dedicaed sites.
2) There's no real way to represent people electornically, as you can change your IP a million times and do whatever under whatever name you want.
ShortBangaSep 19th 2004, 21:24
When I saw the ad for Futurama on TBS I was really excited. This is huge for the shows return chances. Based on the success of Family Guy, I think they will most likely bring the show back.
idonthaveanameSep 19th 2004, 22:20
I have to agree with andrew. if people have to go to school or work tomorrow, it will never catch on. its like setting futurama up for failure. afterall, TBS used to have family guy at 8, why not futurama?
futuramakingSep 19th 2004, 22:33
you know whats fucking better? If the show comes back
PJSep 19th 2004, 23:16
well with tbs thats three TV stations running futurama reruns TBS.cartoon network and teletoon(canada EH!)
AFFSupporterSep 20th 2004, 05:55
If you guys really want new episodes of FUTURAMA go see Jeffy's website. It's worth your time, and it just might work (unlike that stupid petition).
AKA-007Sep 20th 2004, 07:14
AKA-007 says that they should start returnin' it and makin' new episodes. The advantage that futurama has is that it has no possibility limit. They can do anything. There should be twice as many as the simpsons.
TheDrainpipeSep 20th 2004, 12:47
Without wishing to be too negative, I have to say that Family Guy being renewed doesn't necessarily mean Futurama will come back too: remember, Futurama was a LOT more expensive to make than Family Guy.

Frankly, I don't think Fox will make more episodes, and I can't see them selling the rights to any other company to make new episodes either - they are probably happy at the moment just making money off the show via syndication, merchandising, etc. Evil bastards. The only consolation we can draw from all this is that, at 4 seasons, at least Futurama never got the chance to become stale. It was brilliant to the very end, and it left a pretty good-looking corpse...
ShadowSep 20th 2004, 15:03
*In a serious voice

Get out...
elzilchoeSep 20th 2004, 23:29
new comic comes out on wedness day yay!!!!!!! ... !!!!!!!!!!
SolidSnakeXSep 20th 2004, 23:40
Our only chance to get Futurama back is to find the CEO of Fox's address (REAL LIFE), and mail him letter after letter begging for a new season. If that doesn't work, send packages addressed to him that don't have enough stamps. He will be curious and pay the fees. He will open it up and it will contain multiple rocks with the word Futurama painted on it. Victory will be ours, my unholy army of the internet!!!
SolidSnakeXSep 20th 2004, 23:48
Here's the plan.
Email AskFox(askfox@foxinc.com)nonstop for Futurama.
If that doesn't work, mail the FOX CEO nonstop letters containing only the words: REVIVE FUTURAMA.
Then, address a large package to him but don't put enough stamps on it. He will pay the fees, open it up and discover it is full of rocks that have Futurama written on them and then he will find a note asking for the revival of Futurama. March, my unholy soldiers of the internet!!!
somooneSep 21st 2004, 00:09
say ur from, sick klids make a wish
uhhSep 21st 2004, 00:50
at the risk of sounding negative: that wont work. you dont want to get them mad. they might just keep it canceled just to spite us. And at least we had some great episodes to remember. I mean, what if new episodes come out and they stink, or not as good. you'll be more disappointed then if they never came out at all.

Besides, you'd still be waiting like a year for the new episodes, because they have to write them, animate them, do the voice overs, etc
knowsfordsSep 21st 2004, 01:42
Fair enough about not sending them packages but writing letters and emailing them will eventually make them waver, even if it took years its worth it.

I wouldn't care if they took 5 years to be screened as long as they gave us one or more new season/s to look forward to.
onthefritzSep 21st 2004, 02:13
i definitely think the anchovy idea from ssfuturama.wz.cz/AFF/faq.php will work. if everyone does it, it will help all the more. if the people will lead, the leaders will follow. make sure you do it before october 25. save futurama!
GingerSep 21st 2004, 04:53
I'm glad that TBS is bringing back Futurama because this increases its chance for new episodes!
AlexSep 21st 2004, 14:00
Thank you all! This make my day.
BloodyOneSep 22nd 2004, 03:21
37 i realy dont think that those anchovys are a good idea i think it would piss off fox and in return wont bring back futurama
DomSep 22nd 2004, 04:29
What about a bright and nice remark...
My God...The net is really full of loosers like 'POP' who has nothing else to do.
AlexSep 22nd 2004, 13:25
Hey, a question: when will it be on? Is it like the hour of Family Guy on Wednesday nights? I haven't seen the commercials. I'd love a response, so please tell me if you know.
TheMightySep 22nd 2004, 16:38
come on...its just a can of dead fish...better than nothing.

I think the idea is cool...
BenderSep 22nd 2004, 22:17
why don't they just show the episodes earlier
ELZILCHOESep 22nd 2004, 23:43
futurama comic #9 is out today yay!!!!!!!!?!!!!!
ianSep 24th 2004, 16:13
to #21 how will sending fox a crapload of fish bring back futurama it will just piss them all off then we wont get any futurama at all
futramaboySep 24th 2004, 21:46
thats dum cause id rather c new ones than old repeats
Woodbot20Sep 25th 2004, 00:52
I just want to know what time it'll be on.
007Oct 1st 2004, 08:48
i love futurama. i honestly think it's one of the best shows ever made. and i really love the fact they're bringing it back on different stations so we have more opportunity to watch, but i hope they don't make new episodes. the series is as perfect as it could be and i wouldn't risk them ruinning such a perfect piece of television history.
gazOct 2nd 2004, 18:18
#49 how can they ruin it? why if revived would it be crap? the writers would try to write the best shows they can so it doesn't get kicked of by those FOX pricks.DEATH TO FOX! unless they bring it back, then they may live.
BadBass12Oct 9th 2004, 02:55
Im only recording the shows on my Dish Pvr till I can get the seasons which I hope I can get at Christmas. Also I have to get them off the internet cause i live in Indiana in a small tawn close to Ohio and there nothing of Futurama not even in Indianapolis. I had to get the game from the internet which took a long time. If only there was an easier way.
BadBass12Oct 9th 2004, 03:04
If your still wondering when Futurama comes on on Tbs and which episodes are coming up then go to and it should show a box that has Bender on it which is the Too Funny To Sleep button then just click on it to see the shows and it should show Futurama and Family Guy and u just click on Bender and it will tell u!
BadBass12Oct 9th 2004, 03:09
Sorry! This goes with #52 u go to
BadBass12Oct 9th 2004, 03:15
FUCK!!!!!!!!!! THIS STUPID COMPUTER IT'S TBS . COM!!!!!!!!!!
changaOct 9th 2004, 21:44
What day is it on?

I'm on tbs.com and I see nothing relating to Bender or any real sign of Futurama at all. :(
changaOct 9th 2004, 21:48
aaah I see it now.
2:15 on Friday nights... isn't that a little too late?
10:30 on Teletoon is bad enough for me. :(
It would be ideal if Global started showing it again, like they did a few years ago. They played a couple shows at around 5:00 PM on weekends... now they just play 75 episodes of the Simpsons. And while I love the Simpsons... it would be nice to see some Futurama.
2eyedLeelaOct 11th 2004, 18:27
I don't think the CEO of Fox cares enough to get pissed off about the anchovies. But if the fans of Trading spouses get mad, OMG!!
enoOct 22nd 2004, 14:07
I really hope that anchovies thing works out. It's a bit far fetched don't you all think?
