Can't get enough Futurama

Le Futurama Art

Released
just recently is a new piece of Futurama Giclee* art. It depicts Fry running for
President of the United States of America against Nixon's head and a donkey. Bender
is in the crowd with a sign that reads "Fry: If you can't beat him, eat him!"
- such a lovable little rascal. Only 200 of these pieces were made, so it's
very limited. The print can be bought at Wonderful
World of Animation
for 125$ unframed.

*Giclee definition from WWOA's website: Giclees (j'clays) are the latest in reproduction animation
art. According to Linda Jones Enterprises (distributer of Chuck Jones' art),
the giclee is "a french word which means 'spray of ink'. Because no screens
are used, the prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs... more
than four million droplets per second... the prints are lush and velvety with
the feel and luminosity of a watercolour."

If you're interested in other Futurama art pieces, check out AdultSwim.com.
They have numerous Futurama art items including 8 different Giclee's, 23 production
drawings, and two limited edition photos (don't ask, you'll have to see for
yourself) - which range from 150$ to 500$.

Anyone want to get me the debate giclee for x-mas? : )

I thought Nixon was elected President of Earth.
KazzahdraneOct 25th 2004, 14:12
That new print is from the double-page spread at the centre of the 2004 calendar. I actually really hate that image, it's very empty and really has one joke in it that is pretty "typical Bender".

The fake ad in the 2003 one was waaay better.
ActionJacktionOct 25th 2004, 16:48
$500 for a photo of action figures?
TheChucksterOct 25th 2004, 19:05
Hey Action!

There just trying to keep up with the oil prices, that's all!
OtisPJivefunkOct 25th 2004, 20:17

enoOct 27th 2004, 02:10
They should have made it into a $10 poster instead.
FryOct 27th 2004, 03:53
How can I even afford $10 what with having to pay for the professors broken bottle.
IanBoothbyOct 27th 2004, 09:28

FuturamaNerdOct 27th 2004, 18:24

CurtOct 28th 2004, 05:21
About the pic wasn't Nixon captured by the Robot Devil and forced in to Robot hell. Also why is he in his Giant Robot body?
LukeOct 28th 2004, 06:41
He must have managed to weasel his way out of hell..
JonOct 28th 2004, 13:40
#16: I'm gonna give you soooo many lizards for x-mas! :D
OtisPJivefunkOct 28th 2004, 19:43
It's from the 2004 Calendar, which came out in summer 2003. The ep where the Robot Devil forced Nixon into hell aired in summer 2003, when the calendar was released, buuut the calendar obviously had to be made before it could get released, and this takes time. So it was being made before that ep aired.

And about the body, he's done it before, why not again?...
AvidFryOct 28th 2004, 23:13
man adultswim.com are uninformed, they spell Fry "Frye" and the picture where hes hit the giant brain with hes scootypuff jr. they the brain is a rock... eeeeeh...
dsffadsOct 29th 2004, 02:17
that picture is worth 3 dollars (print paper + special ink)

It wont appreciate since people will forget about Futurama since no more epsisodes will be made.

Goodluck
WooterOct 31st 2004, 01:36

amazonwomaninthemoodNov 3rd 2004, 01:58
Who are you telling to shut up? You were probably talking to eno but thankfully all his posts are now deleted. Geez he was annoying. How did that whole thing start anyway?
enoNov 3rd 2004, 08:21
we lose
WooterNov 3rd 2004, 23:15
I don't even remember anymore.
AmazonWomanInTheMoodNov 4th 2004, 02:10
Well, who cares how it started anyway. The good thing is that it's finally over. That was one of the saddest moments in CGEF history.
enoNov 4th 2004, 04:47
Well :P on you!
AmazonWomanInTheMoodNov 4th 2004, 04:51
Man I thought it was over too. Eno you want attention and you get it. But is it really worth it? Eno used to be just a Futurama fan who posted on this site. Now he may never come here again. Anyway, this place is for comments about this particular topic so why don't you just shut up and quit spamming our message boards.
HyundaiPowerVanNov 4th 2004, 09:15
hey #38, I still am a futurama fan who posts on this site ;)
JonNov 4th 2004, 22:06
eno, SHUT THE FUCK UP OR I'LL MAKE MARC BAN ALL 50 OF YOUR IP'S.
AmazonWomanInTheMoodNov 5th 2004, 01:28
Well, #39 that's good to know. Honestly, I thought Futurama was for intelligent people. Eno obviously doesn't count.
llamatronNov 11th 2004, 15:48
Hmm, you can buy a large poster version of the "episode 1" giclee for like < $10 in Australia. Or perhaps it's the same thing and I own one of the world's most expensive posters?
