Can't get enough Futurama

Math with Cohen and Groening

In early April, David X. Cohen invited Dr. Sarah J. Greenwald of Appalachian State University to give a talk at a math club he attends. Sarah integrates math topics from both The Simpsons and Futurama in some of her courses and published an article on the latter in 2004.

Of course, she agreed to give the talk and was delighted to see that the other attendees included many Simpsons/Futurama writers including Matt Groening.

Since the event happened in the past, you can't really go there anymore. However, you could read through her summary or the long transcription of her conversation with David X.

I think it's interesting that we haven't heard much about Cohen's current project, "Grandmaster Freak and the Furious Fifteen."

Kinda random for brining that up, but the interview mentioned it...

If they havent made new about the show Im pretty sure it may tkae a VERY long time because of the long pause of news. Or the idea was discarded.

I think using Futurama in learning is a good thing. I used Planet Express for my project on a fictional company.

Wow Brian, I'm glad you're such a fan of something called "Futrama"! It sounds a little like a violent futbol team, but I don't like to judge. But I can't figure out what a doe witch is. Remember that math is good- but reading is important too! So remember to take a break from Cartoon Network once in a while to feed your brian. I mean brain.

I wish I had Dr. Greenwald to teach me math... I'd probably not be so traumatized by it today.
