Can't get enough Futurama

Futurama Comics #21

This will be out September 28th, 2005. If anyone has a preview scan of this issue, send it my way please.
by Rogers and Delaney
Fry takes his first trip to the dentist in over one thousand years and discovers that his dental fillings are receiving a sub space from an unknown alien race. But their friendly entreaties for peace soon turn to a declaration of war after Fry begins grinding his teeth in his sleep.
Futurama X-Mas DVD rumor
According to an Essex Futurama fan that goes by the name Jamie, there will be a Futurama X-Mas themed DVD out near the end of the year. He works at blockbuster, and it lists "Futurama at Christmas" as an upcoming release.

No official word on this. There's really no info at all about it. But it sounds like a decent enough idea, no? Fox had announced something like this to happen many years ago, before the seasonal DVDs were released. So maybe they're finally going to follow through with the idea.

All Sounds Great

Aren't there only two Christmas episodes?
elJuanJul 13th 2005, 15:21
They really need to bring out these comics properly in the UK. I'm fed up with waiting for the compilation ones every three years or so. The Christmas DVD sounds like a good idea, but I'd be surprised if it was really gonna happen. Let's face it, the word of some guy who works in Blockbuster ain't a lot to go on is it?
fdfaxJul 13th 2005, 18:05
i agree....the word of a guy who works in blockbuster is not a good idea.....anymore news on the dvd movie?
OtisPJivefunkJul 13th 2005, 20:21
If this is true I suspect official info will be announced at the San Diego Comic Con snoon. When is it exactly anyway?...

Btw, you need to put an image of Comic #20 in the thumbnails part of the review section. Just the big image doesn't cut it...
wwefkJul 13th 2005, 21:34
shouldn't it be called "a futurama x-mas?" and on the subjuct of there beening only 2 x-mas eps, the "bart wars" simpsons dvd only had 1 star wars centric ep. so I imagine they will do it like the garfield dvd and have just a "futurama holiday spatacular" dvd. have the two x-mas eps, love and rockets(valintines day), mothers day, a tatse of freedom (4th of july). did I miss any?
JamieJul 14th 2005, 01:01
I'm the 'guy at Blockbuster', and it was written in a trader magazine in a feature on what Fox will be releasing in the 4th quarter of 2005.
There is also going to be a Family Guy movie apparently.

I sent a scan to Jon, so if you don't believe me ask him to upload it.
AngrySnailsJul 14th 2005, 01:22
blockbuster doesn't have episodes do they, only movies and games right...so if it's on the list it's a movie
JonJul 14th 2005, 02:20
The guy who told me about this sent me a scan of the article. So he's not lying.
As to whether or not this information is correct, that's still up in the air. It could had been some sort of typo.
Nonetheless, it's cool news if it is real.
JamieJul 14th 2005, 03:01
It's not a DVD that we're necessarily getting in to rent or sell, it was just in an independent trader magazine which has nothing to with Blockbuster other than the fact we get sent them to read every month.

Better non-proofed news than no news ;)

OtisPJivefunkJul 14th 2005, 19:05
How do you know it won't get delayed? Issue #20 did...
tomisagothJul 14th 2005, 20:26
It might be one of Matt Groenings' futurama movies he was talking about.
tomisagothJul 14th 2005, 20:31
FOX might approve it cos they approved the game and the monster manic, even if its not one of his movies it will be like the monster manic DVD. I think Matt will make alot of these to show FOX that fans still like futurama even after 2 yrs of cancellation.
tomisagothJul 14th 2005, 20:43
Im sorry I spelt maniac wrong k. (k means ok).

i watched futurama episodes from 1st one to the last one.But i just found out they made dvds what dvd is the best
tomisagothJul 15th 2005, 16:43
Personally I think the 3rd season (the cover with all the main characters in spacesuits) is the best. The forth is a bit dodgey.
donaldJul 15th 2005, 20:37
should i get dvds in order.1-4
vududullJul 16th 2005, 01:13
I think the episodes would be Xmas Story, A Tale of Two Santas, The Birdbot of Ice-Katraz, and another winter episode I can't think of right now.
010111001Jul 16th 2005, 04:17
