Futurama producer and writer Patric Verrone was honored with the Animation Writing Award by the Animation Writers Caucus of the Writers Guild of America.

The award is targeted at the person of Patric himself and shows how much his work (and that's Futurama to a big extend in the last years) is valued by people in the business who do have a clue:

with all theese awards to futurama, and the crew, fox cant miss seeing what a idiotic move it was to cancle futurama... let's just hope fox wakes up from the stupid sleep

unrelated, but rumour has it Futurama will start with a double bill on Nov 10th and also show 2 episodes on Nov.17 - if not pre-empted it could end Futurama before CN starts showing the syndicated eps.
