I personally thought the episode was one of the best, it had great lines. And what can ever go wrong when there are 2 Zoidbergs

My hats off to Groening and Co. for another damn-fine episode! 'Gold-Bender' was hellarious to no end... One of the most clever eps, IMHO.
Cannot wait for seasons 2-5 to come out on DVD here in the States!

An excellent episode.
The alternate versions of the crew were so interesting, it kinda made me wonder how their Futurama episodes went. And when they all travelled through other universes to catch the Zoidbergs, genius.

Though all that set aside, I do have one complaint:
1) What about an alternate version of Zap and Kiff?
My, God that would be so freakishly cool.

I loved this episode. It was a really great idea.The only thing i don't understand is in the Episode: I Dated A Robot , when they go to edge of the universe their is only the alternate universe with everything the same except people wear hats. and bender says thats the only other universe.so how are their so many others? but i did miss the first 3 minutes so is their something i missed?

A: Good news, everyone! Another great epsiode. (Of course, they'd have to activly work hard at making a crappy one to get me to say anything else!) Favourite parallel: Diamond Scrunchie vs. Neil Diamond and Scrunchie. Still laughing at that. Also love Hermies having to think REALLY hard about not pushing the button.

1: To No Use For A Name: Yup, they did say that that was the only other universe in I Dated A Robot. But the Farnsworths also explain that they created the box with the universe in it, in effect, Universe A Farnsworth made Universe 1 jsut before this episode started (and vice versa) and it just happens to have a backtory. I'd try and explain it more, but I think my head would explode.

Whatchu talkin about #5?
BrainSluggoJun 9th 2003, 00:00
Farnsworth as God is too obscene to even consider. Let's just say that either (a) the Cowboy-Hat Universe was the only alternate reality discovered at the time of "I Dated A Robot," or (b) Farnsworth's box creates a tiny portal into a field that manages to encapsulate and affect an entire universe. Yeah...that's the ticket!

"Buddha, Zeus, God! One of you guys do something! Help! Satan! You owe me!"
JamesJun 9th 2003, 00:00
In the commentary track for I dated a robot, when Farnsworth states that there are only two parallel universes, everyone commenting basically goes "uh oh, I guess we forgot about that." So basically they kinda screwed up, but the explanation by #7 works well enough, if you're really going to look into the matter that much. Remember that in I Dated a Robot, that statement is only a throw away gag.

This is the kind of episode that leaves me thoroughly depressed about the fact that there won't be any more new ones created after the last few that we still haven't seen run out. Clever, funny, thought provoking... no wonder this show didn't thrive in the wasteland of TV. Of course, maybe if FOX hadn't buried it in the worst time slot imaginable, or promoted it at all... Sorry, I'm off subject. I also laughed quite a bit at the diamond scrunchie/ Neil Diamond and Scrunchie joke. Fantastic episode.

its even easier....its a paradox. no extra explanation needed!

Bender Should Not Be Allowed on TV

!!!!!!! i dont know where else to put this but i found this, and i was wondering if it was accurate

I liked the "Buddha, Zeus, God! One of you guys do something! Help! Satan! You owe me!" and "I am still technically alive" at the very opening got me laughing to death! Well, I am sure the next few episodes are going to be much much better!!!! :)
ThomasJKruseJun 10th 2003, 00:00
Has anyone figured if this information is correct yet?

What's this? 250+ framegrabs of the latest episode, and not one is of either of the two smooches of Fry 1 and Leela 1? I'm disappointed.
mikeyJun 10th 2003, 00:00
i know this is not on the subject but that game guess the picture is unfair because when that person thats at the top did it in 2002 and a lot of futurama episodes hav been aired since then so reset it every year
alittlegirlJun 10th 2003, 00:00
(#14) Aw, don't worry. It will show someday....

Don't y'all just loved The Farnsworth Paradox? I couldn't stop laughing...
VincentXJun 11th 2003, 00:00
All this stuff about the "I dated a Robot" episode, the edge of the Universe, the alternate universe and that there are two?

This has got to stop!
Look, people. I love this episode, and I understamd it very well. So answer me this:
Do any of you know the difference between and Alternate Universe and Parallel Universe?

Find that answer and stop talking about the "I dated a robot" episode.
AgnewsBodyJun 11th 2003, 00:00
Enough about the cowboy universe... I just wanted to say something about the sounds and quotes page, and that is this:

Our futurama crew is the one from Universe A don't you remember?

"Meanwhile in Universe A, Hermes A heads towards the sun ... A."

Red Zoidberg is Zoidberg A, the blue one is just Zoidberg ... or Zoidberg 1 ... or Mongoose Zoidberg.

Calm down, VincentX. Nobody's dissing the episode; we're just discussing the "issue" it presents, strictly for our own entertainment. You no likey? No one's forcing you to participate--and we don't take orders from you.

Here are some alternative means of protest:
(1) Rolling on the floor, kicking and screaming;
(2) Holding your breath until you pass out;
(3) Urinating in your underpants;
(4) Telling Mommy.
VincentXJun 12th 2003, 00:00
Yo,RoyalCrownChimpokoMaster!

Your right about one thing: It is there for our entertainment.

As for your alternative means of protest:
I'd prefer a more intelectual response, thank you.

i loved it!! it was awesome! At least it wuz new-i have seen every one of the futurama episodes. Feel free to email me about anything(really, it don't have to be about futurama either).
ThomasJKruseJun 13th 2003, 00:00
Post number 15 that is a really good point, on the other hand, who cares about the cowboy universe, its just like crimes of the hot when Leela had said in X-mas story nuclear winter cancelled it out or when the mayor said global warming was a hoax or sumthing, and also in Where no Fan has gone Before, you arent allowed to say Star Trek but in That's Lobstertainment! it says like nominees are # 1yadda yadda, # 2Star Trek Cola and and so on, so just let it go
Toast_b-r-o-tJun 27th 2003, 00:00
SATAN! YOU OWE ME!

lol, that killed me :)
