what the hell. i just can't believe that such a good show is now gone. i would just like to say that Fox should burn in hell...
...but seriously, i may just be an obsessive fan, but it really is disheartening that quality television shows don't have a chance in this day and age. thank those bastards from the fox network, and that guy that created american idol and those other awful programs.
i mean, it's not like they have anything else that's good anymore. i know that if futurama went on for too long it would've possibly went the way of the simpsons, but it didn't even have a chance.
oh well. maybe twenty years down the road we'll end up like those kooky Trekkies (errr... let's not and say we did).

This episode showed why this is the best cartoon out there. Art with heart. At its very core, that's what it's all about.

A sad day for television, but it remains one of a kind, and 10 years down the road, it'll still be a revolution all its own.

But couldn't they at least do a Zoidberg spinoff? "Life With Zoiby"? Eh, worth a shot.

Futurama will never be matched. I refuse to believe it's dead.

Hey you guys think you had it rough, i had to say goodbye to two series i love today! Futurama & Trigun had their final episodes today so it was double the pain. But anyway, the end really made me sad thinking about how futurama is over forever. It was the best show on fox and deserved much more than it got. But as much as i want the show to go on, would it really be the same series if the picked up after this episode? I don't think so. Well anyway, goodbye futurama. Thanks for the good times.

one more thing i want to add about Futurama that i always loved-- i've noticed in a couple episodes, including tonight's (the other episode being Fear of a Bot Planet), that they still listen to vinyl records in the future. nice little touch for a collector nerd like myself ;)

I decided to check next Sunday's schedule (on my Dish Network reciever) to see what was on at 6:00 and it turns out that Fox is showing a rerun of "Kiff Gets Knocked Up A Notch". So I checked it out with TV Guide.com; a rather reliable source I think and the week after next; they're playing two Futurama reruns ("Less Than Hero" and "The Why of Fry") in a row. Ok.....

mArc, where does this leave you and the site? I know running these things can be expensive, esp one that gets as many hits and has as much multimedia as yours does. I hope you are able to keep the site running, as it is what Futurama deserves. Regardless of what you and your crew decides, thank you for a wonderful service. I've enjoyed the hell out of it.

I'm so sad that this awesome series is now over. It was a beautiful last episode with heebie-jeebies and some tears.
I hope that one day Futurama comes back.

I have still to see the last 2 episodes(I live in The Netherlands, so I have to download them) but it's sad that a great show as Futurama has come to an end.

I want to thank all the people who have made Futurama possible, and maybe will see something in the future.

We just gotta keep buying DVDs and the game,and vote for it at tvguide.com,because Fox will feel terrible after they cancelled a series that everybody loves.

Wow, this episode almost made me cry... and that's a pretty amazing thing. For me, this show was one of life's greatest pleasures, and the world seems a little less bright now that it's gone.

(And everybody who hates the FOX executives for the way they treated Futurama over the years, I say: "Don't worry, the Robot Devil has a 'special place' waiting for the people who cancelled Futurama..." =D)

I haven't seen the last two episodes because I live in Spain, but today is a sad day for every fan in the world. I think Futurama is the most intelligent and funniest show on television, much, much better than the last four The Simpson's sesions... But today intelligence is a taboo in television

Well Futurama has been a blast(most funny show EVER) too bad that Fox is so dumb(<0,001 braincell) that they don't see the show popularity.
Gonna watch the last ep when i get it off Emule(Netherlands does not broadcast it).

I just want to say that Futurama to me was alot better than King of the Hill. And I think Fox should burn in Hell too!!!

I thought this was the best from this limited season. The saved the best for last and I was more than surprised by it. I'd rank it the best of this year. I'm saddened that it will go away.

A really great episode from a superb show I'll really miss. The little "See You on Another Channel" gives me a little hope that perhaps another channel might pick up this overlooked gem.

I read somewhere that the episodes shown this calendar year will qualify Futurama for possible Emmy nominations next year. That means "The Sting" might win an Emmy more than a year after the show was cancelled.

Nothing Fox network puts in the 7:00 slot will fare well due to football and Nascar. Lets hope Banzai and Oliver Beene are gone before X-mas.

People rate with their hearts and minds, and if they were entertained and felt that the episode surpassed "good" (which I felt it easily did), they are entirely justified in rating it a five. Give it the rating you feel it deserves, but refrain from namecalling. There were certainly enough "simpletons" who tried to pull the rating down by giving it a much undeserved 1, and voting more than once...that's irresponsible.

Good Bye, Futurama. You didn't deserve to go, but the people of Fox had some important and timely shows to create like "Who wants to Marry a God Damn Idiot AKA Execs at FOX" At least we all can have some good feelings knowing that in a thousand years, the monsters of Omicron Persei 8 will destroy the Earth for cancelling the greatest show in the universe.

You cant just take one part of what i said and use that against me.... you need to take all of what I said and synthesize it.

and #34 I discredit your whole account because the only real defense you made against me happened in your 4th paragraph, and that was nonsensical. "Capitalization" of sentences... on a "forum" of sorts is rediculous, and even moreso to try and use that against someone. The same goes the spelling... although the only thing i spelled incorrectly was "liek" and thats just a simple "stupid finger" error.

Once again. The simpletons let their feelings about the whole show and the hell its been through to make what I believe are reviews that they dont necessarily belong to the episode. If you read some of them, like I did, you'll see that a lot of people rated it a 5 not because of the content, but because of some other non-related issue.

I know you all think CN is our best hope for getting Futurama back in the air, but CN focuses on little children's television for prime-time, and I doubt they would schill out the bucks for a show like futurama just to air it at 11:30.

More likely I believe TBS could pick it up. They could show it instead of one of the countless other programs they show during primetime that get ratings about as good as Futurama does on CN!

Here's hoping that someone...anyone, will expend the effort to bring this masterpiece back together!

I mean come on, this was the last episode ever. And in my opinion it was very good. It had some funny parts, but it got serious when it needed to. It left the show the way it should've, walking into the sunset and fading away.

As for critics, waffle, I put no faith in them. Most of them said that Star Wars sux, and did it, no. Critics have bloated egos, and overanalyze everthing.

38 does have a point with getting on with our lives, guess it is about time we do that. Ah well, been a kick ass series. But I don't think we'll ever see it again. (Except maybe a movie)

It was a rich and beautiful series, it will always be remembered as one of the greatest series of all time.

You're original post sounded like an attack on anyone who gave a five rating. You yourself said the episode deserves an 85%, which would require that at least half of us rate it a five. I'm sure there were some people who rated it higher than they actually felt it deserved just to see it get a high score, just as there were people who gave it a dismal score out of spite (which I never acused you of doing)...and I did see what appear to be obvious multiple posts on both sides of the issue. Let's just be grateful that we're only giving our personal feelings on a television show, and not electing a president...

Futurama will forever live in my heart, Zoidberg's funny voice and weird ways, Fry's unconditional for Leela, Bender's great laugh (the evil manic one) and his drinking and smoking habits will forever be burned in my memory. Zapp's stupid and crazy gestures with women (particulary with Leela) and who cant forget Kiff Zapp's sidekick with the groan that haunt me in my sleep (im still working on memicing it) and everything else that made Futurama so great. i only wish that i could be a rich millonaire and blow half my money to keep it alive. but i guess i can only do the next best thing, buy the 4 seasons of it ( I want season 5 of DVD, damnit!) but anyway i hope futurama will soon return to us all.

Great episode & a great season finally. It's as if they knew it was over with that ending. Did they know when they produced it?

Anyway, I too am very disappointed to see Futurama go. I only hope CN will make the decision to fund more episodes. Not likely, but one can dream. If only I had professors "What If Machine"...

Before I go I'd like to give a big one finger salute to all those executive pigs at Fox. The only half way decent shows they have left are King of the Hill(good but not great) & what used to be my favorite, the Simpsons. Although, judging by this last season(garbage!) of the Simpsons it's run it's course. They should have cancelled the Simpsons & replaced that timeslot with Futurama. Oh but wait, that would have made sense...

i don't think we will see another show of its type of quality again for a long time. i was just glad that i had chance to watch such a original and funny show. i for one will own every dvd of the show, and will watch them for the rest of my life, and make sure if i have any children they will enjoy the show too when old enough.

the end of the show puts the simple minds song don't you into my head when i think about the final episode, and also leaves me with a tear in my eye like at the end of luck of the fryish. goodbye fry, we will never forget you and your friends.

Futurama was a show that was specifically designed to poke fun at the future and at our silly trends, but most importantly it was the only show that behind all the humor it showed emotion. Futurama will be missed because it was the body of a cartoon, but the heart of a sitcom -- that is something that the simpsons does not have. Futurama was never a clone of simpsons, it was its own show that will never be replaced. I hope that this message falls upon the ears of those who can change the fate of this series and create more episodes.

I think there's only way we can save futurama and I think it's a good idea I hope you everyone on this website is listing so here is the idea.

Yesterday I was talking to some people on a chat site about Futurama I don't remember the site and anyway remember the petition that all of us made on this website made and we sent it to the idiots at the Fox Network? Well I our idea is we should make another petiion this time to Matt Groening, David Cohen X, and to the Cartoon Network telling them to make new Episodes of Futurama I think this is a great idea I don't about you guys but we all hate the Fox network right? and if we can get this petition going Matt G, David X, and The Cartoon Network will listen to us and put new Episodes of Futurama back on the air and make the Fox network look like jerks and we all want that to happen don't you?

Futurama should live on. They should've cancelled KOTH instead. A really poignant episode, and yet I laughed out loud. But we need to lead a protest on the FOX network. WE NEED FUTURAMA!!! As the last line ever said put it:

I loved Futurama. It was extremly funny. And Fox has taken other good shows from us too such as Family Guy, Titus, and That 80's show. And I think they did a great job with the series finaly they made it sweet and funny. I really loved the last musical part when Fry and Leela walk into the sunset together. Also I thought for a more dramatic closing they should have had Fry trasported back in the past to the day he was fozen (by accedent of corse) and he walked the rest of his life knowing he was never to see his freinds again then at the closing they should have had their bios like what happened to them and what they accompleshed.

Don't forget people without cable enjoyed it to so try a mutual network such as fox

With this kinda support it will not be long before futurama is a religion, then we can go to shrines and worship every sunday.

Failing that i'll be off to OP8 to watch reruns with lrrr in a 1000 years time

It was a brilliant episode - I loved the operatics! Very funny and quite weird for an animated show. But.... I was expecting more of a climax? Or as they say in psycho-babble - I wanted closure!!!

Still, I really liked the episode, so I think my disappointment just stems from the fact that this is the last show... Noooooooooo! <woka woka>

Tell you what, that "See you on another channel" better not be just a cruel joke, you meaners! Do it!
